This is her natural voice before at the end of 76 she broke a vocal cord and it gave her that husky voice she s known for.

She had polyps on her vocal cords. After the surgery she had to stay quiet for 6 weeks and in frustration she screamed and damaged her voice but for the better.

I was 16, great year,hot hot summer in London, working at UMP VENESTA @ Bromley -by-Bow east London. They had to give us Orange/ Lemon squash with salt tablets for rehydration. Her voice is much more appealing on this track than when she had vocal cord problems, for me the husky voice makes me cringe
