The tune itself has an interesting history. It started out in the 80's as a Eurodisco-type song called "English Girls" in Andrew Lloyd Webber's show "Song and Dance." Sarah Brightman performed it in London, and Bernadette Peters performed it on Broadway. It was pretty cheesy; the tune works a lot better here.

Emcallison, this is so not true... The same song (Tire Tracks) with a different orchestration and lyrics was in Webber's Song And Dance. Check out the cd with Bernadette Peters. The title of the song is English Girls. The American premiere (where the song was added to the material) was in 1985. WAY before Webber started to work with Steinman on Whistle.

The back up singer in the middle don't know the words!!! Think about that:you have to sing at the wonderful "Royal Albert Hall",on tv,with great and famous singer, the Andrew Loydd Webber'songs...what's the first thing you have to do do?Make up?Hairs?Maybe learn the words of the songs that you have to sing!!! It's a shame! Ps:Bonnie here is absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

I LOVE Bonnie but this song sounds a little too much like "Holding Out For A Hero" which I never cared for especially because of the dated 80s sounding synth drums.

Written by Jim Stein man who is most well known for his work with Meat Loaf.? I might have guessed! BEEFY!!! One note would , could she be better with john bonham on drums?
