One other thing; Lucid Dreaming is fantastic for finding the second copies of A Chance Encounter and Summoned Hound.

Arkham dB also has trigger man Charlie to do two actionless switch blade stabbing. Not sure it is optimal but pretty funny way to do flex.

One deck building twist for Charlie is to take one of allies and not worry which of 4 uniques you find first - Granny Orne? Lola? Peter Sylvester? Any pair is fine and will get you enough static boosts to rely less on Bonnie. I also value backpack (2) with e cache (2) and newspaper (2) as luxury upgrades, more than black market, as you thin your deck, find items and economy, and can accelerate draw while being less reliant on a single key card.

I agree so much with the statement that summoned hound combo is great, but nothing you need to play again. Still fun, though. I would also add short supply and resourceful in that deck.

I find Charlie so fun, so many ways to play, which to me, is the best sign of a good designed investigator. Personally I find it incredibly difficult not to go guardian with Charlie simply because Motivational speech, Well prepared, and Ever vigilant are so good. Also, no Rod of animalism?

@@mr.blackpitts6850 Sadly Summoned Hound and Black Cat aren't creatures.

@RatherIncoherent Wow, I never realized that. I always assumed they were....whoops 😗.

Rod of animalism is good if you can find the slots and desire to run 2x guard dog 2 for passive damage

Just played summoned hound Charlie in Innsmouth. It was so completely broken. Extremely fun, but it was kind of like having cheat codes for the game.

Don't you just love how Summoned Hounds is straight up better than Duke, especially if ya cheat it into play nullifying is one weakness, which is all the flavour. Don't summon demons.

Unpopular opinion Silas Marsh seems kinda perfectly placed 😭 (I love Silas but I feel like a bad Silas player is 100% a liability no questions asked) - My experience & love with the character (Feel free to skip) With Nautical Prowess in hand the ability to just bounce and draw a million cards with that combo makes for a deck of 12-14 lucky's (3)'s disguised as skills at scenario 1 that only get's better His clue finding isn't ground breaking but he moves through his deck at such break neck speed it can create a highlander deck of wild flexibility Miss Doyle's Augur being one of the biggest standouts to makes for consistent 3 clue turns while wielding a compass & timeworn brand So while a harpoon main fighter silas might be a pipe dream of unreasonable economy His productive stats skip alot of investment and hoops other survivors have to jump through in later scenario's to beat the bag The real downfall though is that brain sparrow mask has done alot to fix it but Protective gear is strongly recommended for all the times you trip on your own ship's deck - Reason he's perfectly ranked (The important stuff) With all of above in mind I'm like yeah! Move him up the tier list! He can kick ass! Then I see Jones.... The Man who starts with a weapon in play... The Hype Train just stops with a screech... The Fact you have to dig things out of your pile of shame still means turn 1 your fighting up hill once the trains going there's no stopping this steam roll But getting that engine going without a hitch? A few bad draws can hard sink that flex boat Maybe there's a debate he gets past zorzi or battles tooth and nail with fern But Preston? Silas can probably out dark horse Preston but how does the master of dark horse stack against big money? 😔 I think we all know the answer of which we'd rather have...
