I will always love Michael Hutchence & INXS. Michael was in a very rare league of performers who had it ALL, like Elvis and Jim Morrison. The epitome of what rock is and should always be. I have also always been a fan of U2 and I love how Bono speaks about his friend, very moving!

Kick in 1987 was doing what U2 began doing in 1990 (and the indie dance / Madchester thing). It was a proper Rock album which also had many danceable / funky tunes. I do think Kick was a groundbreaking album.

Michael’s voice was awesome, he belted out lyrics from deep in his soul. Whitney Houston’s voice could do this as well ... (I know she is a female vocalist) but she could sing lyrics like no other! They both has strong steady wonderful voices and never missed a beat!

While I personally admired the late Michael Hutchence who reminded me of a young and vibrant, pop-sensibility-oriented Mick Jagger, Paul David Hewson aka Bono (Vox) is in a league all by his lonesome, as I see no other pop music icon of the Modern Era (1980s through today) who embodies or exudes the true essence of Pop-Rock Music Royalty: looks, charisma, voice and a keen sense of stage presence all of which emanate well to his viewing/listening audience. I still cannot believe that Adam Clayton and The Edge (David Howell Evans) are bloody Englishmen hahahahaha!!!!

No, he could not have. They were on the Popmart Tour in the US and unless the U2 plane were capable of time travel it was impossible for Bono to be there. They did tributes to Hutchence in the shows that week and wrote a song about him for the next album, so he made up for it and then some.
