“…and I sat with him for an hour and we talked about our dads” - that’s actually quite sweet ❤

That was one of the most surreal and wonderful stories and I truly need to hear Cillian in a role where he does his own accent. I think Perrier's Bounty is the closest I can think of.

I’ve bloody loved this show for years. I could watch it all day, just listening to people tell stories round the campfire. So so good. You get gems like this story every so often and it’s fantastic.

I agree Mathew, it's one of the most interesting shows on TV. Harks back to the old days where people sat round a campfires and told stories, a format as old as time. Letting comedians lift the curtain on their experiences makes it all the better.

Bono and his singing madness sounds so much like Jedward on 8 out of 10 cats!

Jason Byrne reading the washing instruction label in my pants would be funnier than 99% of other comedians. If I'm ever down, I'm going to come back and listen to these glorious 7 minutes.

Not big on U2 but this old goth very much enjoyed all The Virgin Prunes references

Peter Kay... Why doesn't he do stuff like this and panel shows? He'd be awesome... Imagine him in Taskmaster!!!
@fredh1720 Жыл бұрын
Guess he doesn't really need to. It's like Sean Lock, he made a conscious decision not to do panel shows (I think after his one appearance on WILTY?) apart from QI and the one he was paid to be captain on. Think he said he'd rather be known for stand-up.

I genuinely don't think he's a generous enough performer for his schtick to work very well in this round table format.

i like this show so much but, honestly, and i know i'm gonna be crucified by saying this, alan is too much... always disturbing and interrupting the stories being told (with lame jokes, which is making the - already not cool - situation worst)

i can't understand the problem of doing a gig without a stage, or light, or whatever... can't one say jokes anywhere?

Some venues work, others don't in terms of sound, atmosphere and light. Comedians hate working in restaurants, trying to catch people's attention.

@@hawsrulebegin7768 Nope, in fairness to your prompt I listened to it again and erm!............still think they're a bunch of luvvies. Yours bitterly etc.
