Looks fun! Maybe get rid of the bar branches and see how it goes? Grts Kennet

I agree with you..perhaps waiting for spring before cutting off the bar branches?
@BonsaiBoise Жыл бұрын
Agreed! I'm going to wait until it grows out and gets big and healthy again though. I'm guessing some of the branches will take off more than others so I can make some decisions based on that. Got it looking halfway decent for now though

What a great scent to do your work around! As far as being cold hardy, mine always over winter in Ohio. I don't even take extra steps to protect them.
@BonsaiBoise Жыл бұрын
Oh you leave them outside and everything?

@@BonsaiBoise I pile chopped leaves around them and they survive every year

Ah! I made a mental note to raid the holiday plants at the end of the season but just ran out of time.. and honestly I don't have the space for any more plants, especially by the time spring rolls around and my seedlings can take off in growth. Not a whole lot of movement in this one, maybe it wants a new leader in the summer. Hopefully the leaves will start pointing up toward the sun by then.

Yeah I'm thinking the day will come that I have to make drastic cuts. But I'll wait awhile and let it get nice and healthy again.

They sure act a lot like a rosemary “tree”, don’t they? For being Mediterranean, they can get quite cold. Very impressive trees. I’m diggin it, Toy

I am storing these at 33-35f and they are doing well, so far.

Thanks brother! So far this little guy is trucking along. I'll be watching your latest video on your olive tree tonight. My olive tree has barely grown in like 2 years so maybe I'm doing it wrong.

@@BonsaiBoise plenty of direct sun, and keep it above 65F. Those two keys have had mine going like gangbusters.

Hi! Great video. Is there any update on this Bonsai? Did it survive?
@BonsaiBoise5 ай бұрын
Yes and no. It did survive everything I did to it. But it did not survive me taking a 10 day vacation and not getting watered. It was in my office and I either forgot to ask someone or they forgot to do it. Bummer because it was growing like crazy!

this inspired me to dig up my poorly looking Portuguese lavender and bonsai it lol

So far this one I did seems to be happy and healthy!

Did the plant survive the root trim and repot?
@BonsaiBoise7 ай бұрын
It did! However, I brought it to my office, where it was doing well until I went on vacation for a week. It didn't get watered so when I got back to work, dead.
