Diatomaceous Earth poofed on the trunks would help. We can figure a window for the hatch and migration. Perhaps schedule according to the moon cycle. Most parasites become more active around full moons. Moisture would prevent good penetration of the diatoms into bark crevices, so the more dry the better. Perhaps bringing the trees inside for the treatment window would be best.

I love how you're using Knipex mini bolt cutters for all of your cutting. Is this so you don't ruin nicer shears from cutting through the wire? Just as an idea for you, knipex makes some nice angled flush bolt cutters (model 72 62 200) that would be sharper, more precise, and still strong enough for your usage.

This is great advertising but also says Mirai cares about the community in providing expert guidance to everybody... not just those whom decide to pay them. Great business model. Ryan Neil is the guy responsible, the moment he gives over to any female, the figures will slow. Not because of sexism though. Most people that pay are male and this is key. Unfortunate or fortunate, males are predominant in high level bonsai and males statistically are willing to pay for technical information more so than women. This is something that Mirai have not caught on to yet (I fear). Contraversially, women are statistically (and absolutely) more likely to consume less technical, but more social information. We must realise though, women are the most likely to invest... the main investors. Statistically the main consumers. How can Mirai get more social, more political coverage and more human coverage of bonsai? Bring the female audience in and educate us all. Brilliant, keep up the great work Ryan! ... what is happening in the middle east?

Greeting from Brazil Ryan, i have a question. Here in Brazil we dont have a real cold winter, in order to that, in ever green, could i prune it to make a more ramified structure, or should i wait until late winter/early spring. Apreciate the help .. Great videos, you're a great teacher !! Keep doing it !!

I have 8 maples and all lose their leaves at different times! Yeah about the same time which is fall but some will still have old leaves on still in spring. Some lose them all and some dont.

When Neil asked about the biggest borer to America, it instantly reminded me of Donald Trump. :-D
@jesseporter3397
@jesseporter3397 5 жыл бұрын
Hmm. A borer enters a tree where it is not wanted. The president was elected by the citizens. Illegally entering into any country would make someone a borer. Is that what made you think of President Trump? His determination to stop the borers from entering his country?

Very confusing way to explain, and why wont you explain what fertilizer to use? I get it, think for yourself, but a little more guidance would help me make that decision.
