Well that's it folks, I've found my safe space. Not only has this video convinced me that I want to make one of these for my Mom, but its turned me onto what I hadn't realized is the most beautiful expression of art i've ever seen. I'm now of the belief that a bonsai tree reveals the soul of it's sculptor. Truly remarkable

If anyone is equally inspired and intimidated to get into bonsai by seeing this guy at work I highly recommend just going for it. Look at some bonsai for beginner videos, pull a sapling out of the ground, buy a couple of tools and some wire, don't worry about specific pots at the start. Putting 10% of this effort will result in some immensely satisfying results. The first time I wired something into shape and seeing it turn from a boring stick into a miniature tree is almost as satisfying as watching this video. Oh and kudos on the effort and editing, these videos are leaps and bounds ahead ❤
