Nerding out on this unit before i make a purchase. On the Samsung galaxy s24 ultra with no audio jack and the eq is ok but i want bigger sound and much more control. 😊

“You don’t need a device like this” - actually for iPhones you need it. Apple Music doesn’t let you customise your eq; it only lets you choose between a bunch of terrible presets. A third party app won’t help because of DRM rights. So the only way to eq would be through a piece of hardware like this

I wouldn't necessarily describe EQ as a "need" though, I meant that someone would not need this to get adequate power from a phone, as that can already be done with a simple dongle

A dongle isn’t Bluetooth though. That’s another advantage of this product. And, it definitely has an amp. So does a dongle. So did phones when they had headphone jacks. This product has a more powerful amp though

@@michaelcorcoran8768 I would say that the Q5K works well as a wired dac/amp. That’s not a dongle though. A dongle is just a USB 3.5 mm wired adapter. But you were correct that it can serve the same use.

Hi, quick question about the EQ: in the phone App I see the range is between +/- 12db while in their Chrome extension is +/- 24db. For my use I would need the 24 range, but I wonder if that's only possible when the amp is connected via USB to a PC. I would like to use the amp via Bluetooth with my phone and using EQ presets with +/- 24db, could you confirm if that's possible? Maybe create EQ presets in the Chrome extension, save them on the amp and use those while I stream via bluetooth from my phone.

I use this when I want my wired earbuds tether-free. EQ is great to have, but yeah generally just some bass boost. Using it right now with Porta Pros. 😀

Let ask you a question. When I use a usb c cable on the 5k to your phone how come when i go into the app nothing is working but i still get sound and volume.

Hi man, someone here has experiment some bugs in the recent firmware? Can someone confirm that? When you put source in automatic sometimes don t recognize correctly the output… sometime puts itself in Qx-Over… and unbalanced in performance 4v it’s weird..
