Went to Mille Lacs last weekend and plan to return. I know there is a few 30’s there, hope to find-’em. The bite wasn’t as awesome as 2023. Everyone is going to the deep reefs. My thought is I explore the weeds. I’m there for 4 nights. So thinking maybe I’ll find a pocket or something worth fishing near the shallows. Merry Christmas by the way. Thanks again for putting together another good video. I’ll send yah pictures if I hook up with a 30. Cheers.

Well I’m glad it’s not just me having a hard time catching walleyes in the lakes area!

Biggest walleye I ever got my hands on was in 12 ftow, 2pm in February, and the shiner was 4ft down above the weeds. 28" Wisconsin gold!

Sometimes those walleye are just in a mood. In my opinion walleye are one of the most tough fish to catch. They are so responsive to changing conditions. Every once in awhile they can leave you scratching your head.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Good video. BTW, that's not your new Polaris sled?
@TargetWalleye29 күн бұрын
Likewise John! I didn't have time to snag my trailer before heading to the lake so I hitchhiked on the back of my buddy Nick's sled to make sure we made it for the evening bite. My Titan was definitely jealous hahaha.

How do you like the torque vest? Do you have any experience with other brands heated vests?

What rod you using for panfish this winter?
@patrickethier6190Ай бұрын
Is it that difficult in the summer on those clear lakes also in the brainerd area.,. Where it's only in the evening and morning thing?
@rileyderosier3018Ай бұрын
I find it a little easier because you can travel more distance trolling crawler harnesses and other similar gear.

Would have been cool to catch that Bowfin through the ice 🙋🏻♂️
@greygoering709Ай бұрын
When did everyone start calling them bowfin. I’ve always known them as dogfish.
@patrickethier6190Ай бұрын
Nick, you should be fishing yourself.. instead. You're filming for Brett😅
