Just saw this! It’s fantastic yall. They should subtitle it “A Heartstopper Story” bc that’s the vibe. Just a heartwarming, feel-good, gay romance. Stellar acting from the leads (they have chemistry!). Great direction and production. So many gay films are low budget, homemade, horribly-acted and just plain unwatchable but once every year or two we get a gem like this movie (if we’re lucky). I hope they market this properly so it gets the audience it deserves.

I simply think it’d be a great promotional tool to garner an audience so we get more media like this in the future. I mean, it literally could’ve taken place in the Heartstopper universe-high school, positive, devoid of tragedy, etc. I’m desperate for it not to fail bc we need MORE!

It's available in the UK on NOW. An OK film with some creaky plot developments and a cliche ending straight out of a Richard Curtis film. Not sure why it's set in 2006 unless a sequel is planned. Some people have compared it to Heartstopper. There is no comparison. Heartstopper knocks it out of the park.
