Someone already pointed this out, however I felt some things need to be said: The kill/carry system (generally called “gripping”, or grip system) derives from the game Rogue Lineage, and really just functions as a pvp feature with some minor QOL use in questing with friends. Games like GPO use it since that game has important systems surrounding kills in pvp, and being able to pass grips to teammates or carry players away from their teammates is helpful. It also means you don’t immediately die which prevents cheese from being viable in team environments. (e.g. you can’t take someone out of the game just for getting a cheesy one shot without dealing with their teammates first)

Well, that kill system is commonplace in more anime games, like gpo, shindo life, and project slayers (I think). Some games even give you cooler kill animations with different weapons, like how you brutally kick a person dead in gpo with the kicking fighting style (black leg). It's a pretty cool game mechanic imo, reminds me of Aragami 2 somewhat. You could also pick up people in these games, maybe to throw em in a pit or to dissuade them from screwing with ya without killing them for the benefits that can sometimes bring.

There's also been a lot of drama about the devs of A Bizarre Universe stealing models, faces, effects etc. from other popular games like AUT and YBA, and i've seen one or two videos of people comparing the models of the body parts of the stands to models from said jojo games. So basically not only the pvp feels incredibly weird, almost as if you had nine thousand ping, but the developers are apparently... thieves? Take my words with a grain of salt though, i'm just a normal person, so have your own critical thinking. Anyways, in my opinion, if they really stole the models etc, don't play their game. Encouraging people to steal from other games is terrible.

The reason for the carry mechanic is for gang wars or 2v2s and stuff, so you can carry someone away and grip (aka kill) them without their friends knocking you out of the animation by attacking you. The whole "Points left" thing is the max amount of points you can get and use on your current stand (there is a rebirth system to increase this cap by 10 points per.) You can get more max moves via upgrading potential.

Fun fact, the Potential stat is needed to buy more skills. The more Potential you have, the more skills you can get. I think it also gives you more chance to get rarer skills. Not sure on that though

This is supposed to be similar to the popular roblox experience "Deepwoken". I play it and everything is normal here to me. Yes, everybody who plays is a masochist but thats besides the point. The j and n for carrying and gripping (the way the game says kill) is normal after somebody is knocked (dead but not fully). The randomness and uncontrollable rng is a regular part of Deepwoken. This video looks normal to me but I understand why people would give this review.

Honestly, I did not know why did Eclipse decide to call the carry/kill option a strange choice. Until the "main character is insane" explanation. That thing aside, the downed system is a common thing in other anime games, like Shindo Life (Naruto); Project Slayers, Demonfall (Demon Slayer); Deepwoken; Grand Piece Online (One Piece) and a few other ones I have not mentioned. In these games, that mechanic actually has a use outside of quests: In Shindo Life you can choose to spare or mock someone by flinging them, or defend them during a boss/group fight. In GPO, Marine players can bring other players into jail and you can save people from bosses as well, plus there are different finishing animations, like the Katana has a beheading animation, Crab Cutlass has a few slashes and a stab in the end, Black leg does a flip on their chest, these are only a few from a pretty good amount of weapons and fighting styles in this game. In Demonfall, you can spare players after a duel or save players from other players, carry npcs to the safe location in one of the quests, save players during a raid boss, and also you need to finish off npcs to get the kill, so dealing with crowds is harder here

(SORRY IN ADVANCE FOR ANY GRAMMATICAL ERRORS) (also eclipse if you do read this this is not directed to only you) something I do like about this game is that gang wars are REALLY fun, like how if you get knocked down you are basically able to be kidnapped and you can hold other members hostage as opposing forces try to free them, also the fact you can teleport to the gang leader gives you a target to prioritize. I think this logic applies to every game (that being friends make it better) but holy moly is it fun with friends. Also, with the randomized stands, when you fight someone you do not know what you're getting yourself into and it is like an actual jojo fight. But that is just my take, what I have noticed about a lot of jojo games is that they are not fun when you just play by yourself with the single objective of getting stronger or beating the game, and I think that this game has some of the most fun pvp in most jojo roblox games. and I mean FUN not GOOD, this combat system is s hitty but oh my lord the idea of randomized stands and being able to carry players just makes for an amazing gang battle experience. But anyways, my suggestion is when trying new shi tty roblox jojo games, maybe play them with some friends.

All the stand stats do different things depending on different moves, except power and durability. Those power just increases damage and durability just gives you more hp. Also, the kill/carry mechanic is for vampires I believe, because once they are maxed out, they can turn npcs into zombies to jump the shit out of another npc or player. Another thing, you don't actually need to do quests to level up, it's actually a much more brainless experience where you just need to kill one normal npc or boss until you get all 150 stat points. Once you are done you can then spend your time emptying your bank account for a spec like boxing in order to *send your foes to ohio.* As a tester, I can most definitely say this game is......there.....
