The symbolism with Revivedbur in red and Ghostbur in blue and then Dream with a conductor like outfit on is just- /pos. And then the little countdown and "Tommy you said it'd be ok" in reference to when Ghostbur died! And Ghostbur changing to Revivedbur through the Dream smile... just, everything about this is beautiful! Well done Dropster!

Oh, the duality of Revivedbur and Ghostbur... One of my favorite things to explore on the DSMP, especially when it comes to character design and what is symbolizes. They are already pretty interesting in terms of how they deconstruct and characterize Wilbur's character to an unusual degree, showing the entire range of his personality. Revivedbur and especially Ghostbur are Wilbur's character traits amplified, with one (Revivedbur) being an extreme version of his hubris and his ambition, while the other, Ghostbur, describes the less obvious, less dominant aspects of his character, showing the love and affection he once had for the people close to him, and the deep sadness that he must have felt in his soul as everything he cared about slipped away. It's a a testament to being dissatisfied with himself, and to feeling regret for the things he had done... And the colors you used in the animatic portray this contrast wonderfully. In the song, one of the lines is: *There's a martyr in the red And a phantom in the blue Now the devil's got himself a little skeleton crew* The "red martyr" is Wilbur/Revivedbur of course, because he essentially ended his life in the name of L'Manberg - or rather to ensure no one would ever inherit the nation that his adversaries had ruined in his eyes. And truthful to that, Revivedbur is tied to the color red in this animatic - a color of anger and danger. His eyes have a red tint to them - as does the writing on the wall: "I heard there was a special place"... It's clear that it was written in his own blood in mad desperation as was the smile on the bench, given that bloody handprints adorn the cold concrete - although it seems to be of an unnatural hue in the confines of inescapable Limbo... or so it seems. Because as Revivedbur wakes up, he senses change coming as he sees a train arrive... And soon, his red will shine in beautiful scarlet, pretty as a flower. Meanwhile, the "devil" tricks and kills the ghost, the "phantom in the blue"... And the blue seeps out of Ghostbur, creating stunning paintings in blood. There are flowers that spring from where Dream snapped his neck - it's quite a beautiful sight, but his blue has always been a symbol of his grief and his hurt. And indeed, you show Ghostbur clutching at his throat, breathing heavily as he senses the sharp pain and shock of dying, his eyes, also of a gorgeous blue, opening, still so clear (I love this shot so much - I always pause the video whenever it comes up!) as the life drains out of him. He tries to keep them open but he cannot win a fight with death, and so he falls unconscious as his soul ultimately settles into the darkness of Limbo. And Limbo... It's breaking him, sending him into a state of suffering unlike any other. When we see another close-up of his eye in the end, it's completely blue, a shade richer than it was before, describing his unending agony and how much more being in Limbo hurts him - more than the sadness of his "living" days ever could. As per usual, you did an outstanding job on creating this piece of art for a song that also, is an artwork in itself; Kroh has a knack for mixing and lyricization and I have always admired your style and how brilliant, vibrant it is - and how the frames form a narritive with a tension that is very much distinctive to your work. It's a fast-paced form of visual storytelling that stings sharply, rips you out of its scenes with sudden, yet impeccably set cuts - and sometimes rich, contrasting colors, as we can see in this particular animatic. And yet... The flow of the story is still perfectly intact, enhanced even by the daring artistic choices as they grab the attention of the viewer, appeal to their senses and their emotions by creating a feeling of slight disruptiveness, that portrays sentiments like anxiety, discomfort or threat. The characters are in a situation where they are bombarded with multiple impressions, thoughts and feelings at once and your art, Dropster, manages to mirror this incredibly well and clearly! Having said that, allow me one question about the symbolic dimension of the animatic: The flowers Revivedbur and Ghostbur are holding... What kind are they? I know that especially flowers can have very specific figurative meanings so I am really curious about this...

Whenever I get a package of plain M&Ms, I make it my duty to continue the strength and robustness of the candy as a species. To this end, I hold M&M duels. Taking two candies between my thumb and forefinger, I apply pressure, squeezing them together until one of them cracks and splinters. That is the “loser,” and I eat the inferior one immediately. The winner gets to go another round. I have found that, in general, the brown and red M&Ms are tougher, and the newer blue ones are genetically inferior. I have hypothesized that the blue M&Ms as a race cannot survive long in the intense theater of competition that is the modern candy and snack-food world. Occasionally I will get a mutation, a candy that is misshapen, or pointier, or flatter than the rest. Almost invariably this proves to be a weakness, but on very rare occasions it gives the candy extra strength. In this way, the species continues to adapt to its environment. When I reach the end of the pack, I am left with one M&M, the strongest of the herd. Since it would make no sense to eat this one as well, I pack it neatly in an envelope and send it to M&M Mars, A Division of Mars, Inc., Hackettstown, NJ 17840-1503 U.S.A., along with a 3×5 card reading, “Please use this M&M for breeding purposes.” This week they wrote back to thank me, and sent me a coupon for a free 1/2 pound bag of plain M&Ms. I consider this “grant money.” I have set aside the weekend for a grand tournament. From a field of hundreds, we will discover the True Champion. There can be only one. :D

absoloutely insane! (forgot to comment first time i watched it) but I love how on the walls they write like their worst memories for Alivebur (or Wilbur whatever u want to call him) it was 'I heard there was a special place' the first line of the L'manburg anthem and for Ghostbur it was 'Tommy you said I'll be okay' which I think were Ghostbur's last words before being killed in the prison by Dream. Such good attention to detail. How the train windows for Ghostbur were blue but Wilbur's were red. So good DropsteR can't wait for the next one!

Your style is so unique and it is one of the reasons I got into the dream smp. Stockholm syndrome was the first ever dream smp video I watched. And since then I've loved the dream smp and its content creators. And the Fandom is just soo talented and its amazing. You have to be my favorite all time animator dropster. You bring such a beautiful talent of incorporating horror elements and animation together to really tell the story You're trying to convey. Take the memories series for example. Ranboo and Tommy have some of the best lore in the dsmp. Thats just my opinion though. But revivbur has definitely caught my attention as well. Point is you never disappoint me with your videos even if they aren't dsmp videos.
