Even time I hear Jelena speak, I feel like crying. I was one of those supporters that turned on her all those years ago because I didn't understand what was happening behind the scenes. I feel shamed by that. But meeting her last year when her second book came out and giving her a hug, I just feel so incredibly proud of this remarkable woman.

I feel the same about Jelena, whenever I see her being so open about her traumatic past. And how amazing that you managed to meet her in person and that you reflected on your past feelings - it's easy for us to jump to conclusions when we don't know the whole story. I also didn't understand certain things back in the day that were happening to her, and was thinking "why is she acting like this, why can't she just get herself back on track?" It all makes sense now. She's come a long way, and is a huge inspiration ❤

Just wonderful. Good on you, Jelena. I hope the lowlife "journalist" on Tennis TV sees this after his despicable comments regarding Barbora Krejcikova. Jelena, you are forever an Australian hero and tennis champion.

Not judging her, I knew her abusive dad messed her up real bad in the head. But I also remember she wrote in her column about Maria Sharapova not having any friends on tour and how she felt about Maria's drug ban ("When I was playing I was listing down everything, including Panadol and vitamins. All athletes are responsible for what they put in their bodies, and Maria is no exception. There is no excuse for that and I think there will always be a debate about whether the ban was long enough", her exact words). Maria took Meldonium, it was not even a banned substance the year prior, and the benefit of taking meldonium in view of performance enhancement in athletes is quite speculative and without sound scientific evidence, even now. So yeah, Dokic, you shouldn't judge others if you want to gain sympathy.
