This was definitely a great cover. This is my favorite EWF song and this was great. I never thought anyone could match EWF. But this is as close as you can get if not better BRAVO!

I've always loved this EWF song. Brilliant songwriting. The 8-bar sequence of the chorus is so satifying. Two whole note bars for the "All....The...." and then followed by half-note triplets "love in the world can't be gone" and then one half note bar for "All...the..." followed again by the triplets "need to be loved can't be wrong" So good.

@@davidreed4661 Strongly AGREE. They are performing a VERY complex and challenging piece, and they all appear to be having a GREAT time doing it. Is this the greatest dance hit of all time? For me, it's DEFINITELY in the conversation. Out of a catalogue of incredibly layered and sophisticated music, this may be Maurice's MASTERPIECE. And this band's cover DEFINITELY does it justice.

I was 6 years old in 1979 when Boogie Wonderland was released, and I remember how excited I felt listening to it. To listen to Leonid and Friends version of it I still feel the same excitement over it like I did almost 45 years ago with the original version!

Jeff, thank you for considering this song and doing a review. I thought you might enjoy it. The release on FB generated 22,400 views in less than 3 hours if I recall correctly. It's so fun to watch the facial reactions of the musicians as they perform. This song, and may of the others performed by Leonid & Friends, quite simply demonstrates the virtuosity of every single musician and singer in this group. I am constantly amazed at the songs they do and the perfection they achieve. Again, thank you for a "same-day" review. Keep up the great work and be sure to see these guys if they are booked into a venue close by - you will NOT regret it! Already have tickets to the show in Houston (The Woodlands actually), and assuming they are booked into Dallas this year, will go to that show as well. All the best Jeff!!!

You can count the numbers of great cover bands on one hand. These guys are the best of them all. Great reproduction. No trying to making it their own. No messing with the original sound. Even when I detect an accent, it's still great. One day I will watch their concert.

It’s hard to describe how difficult this is transcribing this by ear. It’s a song I have heard hundred of times over the years and never realised there were timpani! The vocals replicate the original not just in hitting the harmonies but the timbre as well. Dani’s vocals are masterful as others have commented being to sing like Maurice White and Phillip Bailey is incredible. I wish one of the TV networks would cover one of their shows, they deserve a wider audience. Thanks again Jeff for your brilliant analysis.
