I'd definitely go back for that leather bag even if books wouldn't fit 😆

As someone who is travelling soon, this is actually good research for what I'll be carrying around! I think i was gifted a similar bag to the second one too, but never used it. I'll have to look for it and start testing book sizes👀

Different sizes of books call for different bags, at least that's what I'm telling myself since I bought three!

Yay, I'm not the only person who chooses bags according to how many / size of books I want to bring! I like that Roka one. It's good to see straps that don't look like satin ribbons. And, finally, something WEATHERPROOF. I don't have a car, so I walk/take public transit everywhere. When it's raining, I will usually put my books in a plastic bag and then in my regular bag. I'm paranoid like that. But sometimes I'm caught unexpectedly. That's what happened to my poor, beloved little paperback of Jane Eyre. (It's so damaged, but I can't bear to part with it. It has all my little sticky flags in it.) And my Bible too. Thankfully, the Bible was in its box, so it's only the box that got damaged. I was able to quickly take it out, so it only got very lightly damp. Water is a book lover's terror! See? I can't talk about any of this with regular people. Only book lovers understand.

Yep, bags for books. It’s a thing. I know the camera bag world is just as geeky. My daily carry is the Peak Design 30L and, honestly, it’s rare that a book bag will replace that. So why exactly am I thinking about that brown leather one? It’s just to gorgeous. Will I go home from Glasgow with it today? Outlook looks good. Sorry to hear about your Jane Eyre. I hear the Penguin Classic Deluxe is really nice 😊

@@CamsCampbellReads Yes, it's lovely! I'm still debating between different styles. It's hard to choose. (First world "problems", for sure!)

😂I was walking behind a woman and really liked the look of her bag so I quickly caught up with her to take a photo and yes… it was a ROKA. I have one of their small backpacks now which I love but am looking for a crossbody now.

I don't need another bag in my life, but I could do with another Kaweco pen. I have their Sport Classic fountain pen, which I love. Maybe I'll go and have a look at the ballpoint pen.
@CamsCampbellReads4 ай бұрын
I have the brass ballpoint and the steel gel pen. They’re good for annotating and you can swap out the refills. I also have an AL Sport fountain pen with a fine nib but I hardly use that one. I prefer broad nibs on fountain pens. The brass ballpoint is a lovely little pen. I like it a lot. There’s also a good chance I’m gonna get that brown leather bag in Fatface. I’m Glasgow bound right now.

Having lived in London gor a while for work, i'd put my car keys next to my body. The pocket on the back is vulterable to a pick pocket with avsharp knife. It was common in the London underground. Maybe Glasgow doesnt have that problem?

Good point. I'm sure it does go in in Glasgow, although I've never been a victim thankfully.

It's weird. I travel for a living...so luggage is already a factor. It's just a matter of how heavy I want the tote bag to be. And for Plan B reading, there's always the Kindle App on the mobile. 5:53

Scottish accents are probably my favorite in the world. It takes me a little while for my ears to become attuned to it. I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan, both books & movies. The first time I heard Billy Boyd talking in interviews, I couldn't understand a word he said. But once my ears adjust, I'm fine.

@@Yesica1993 And like every other language in the world, there's more than a few dialects. Up in Aberdeenshire, you get Doric, in the Highlands, you get the sing-song cadence from Scots Gaelic, Glasgow may as well be its own language, Fife has its own peculiarities...for me, the broader the better...
