I switched to fairy loot book only at the beginning of this year and have to say I’m so happy that I did. I love the books they pick and their customizations, I just don’t have room for useless items.

I absolutely loved the Illumicrate box this month, not just the stunning book but every item too. They were an easy win for me, followed by Owlcrate, then Fairyloot. Glad to know you enjoyed the Illumicrate book as it’s on by TBR for next month, so good vibes!

I hope you love it as much as I do! I read the Blood Heir series and the second and third books sent me into horrendous reading slumps so I was nervous trying the author again, but it has a completely different vibe and I flew through it.

How long are people usually on the waitlist for owlcrate, illumicrate and fairyloot. I subscribed to fairyloot ya, adult and even the romantasy as well as owlcrate and illumicrate and afterlife and evernight subscriptions and have no heard anything from any of them yet. Was wondering how long til they gwt back to people

There are a few answers here, so I'll break this down to try to be as helpful as possible! Illumicrate have two different waitlists, so it depends on where you are based. On their most recent update they said that they'd invited people who signed up to the UK/International waitlist between the 4th and 11th of March, but the US & Canada waitlist was back on the 15th to 28th of January, so their waitlist is a lot longer. From what I can tell, the Evernight invite was most recently sent to people who joined the waitlist in mid-December, while Afterlight is already at mid-March so you should get an invite to that quite soon. FairyLoot is CHAOTIC, to say the least. You can email them to ask for your position on the waitlist, which will again be calculated based off of when you subscribed. On the last update they gave, Adult book only invites were being sent for people who joined the waitlist in June for UK and May for US, YA book only was October for UK and September for US, YA full box was September for both, while the Romantasy subscription was completely filled by people who signed up to the waitlist on day one in the UK (May 12th) and had gotten to August in the US. I can't find any updates on the wait for OwlCrate, but because they allow unlimited skips I think their waitlists are moving incredibly slowly at the moment. Sorry if this is disappointing, but unfortunately you might be in for a long wait!

@TheBumblingBlogger ok thanks for the information. Did talk to fairyloot and they said they were up to August for all waitlists. So I'm guessing I have a while to go.

@@krath2193 fingers crossed for you! They’re doing a new combo option soon, putting the book only for Adult, YA and Romantasy in a bundle - I think that will probably get a lot of people leaving the other waitlists to subscribe to that, so the lists should move faster then ☺️

Bottle from illumicrate box is not only for water. I believe you can have hot drinks in it, because of the strainer inside and double glass

Illumicrate was best, although I did like the Owlcrate bullet journal and the magnetic bookmarks.

This was a tough one between Owlcrate and Illumicrate. I think choosing either of them as the winner would have been understandable. Fairyloot was quite disappointing. I may have to change to book only or cancel if things don't change.

I’ve been thinking the same. It’s difficult for me, because I have so much fun filming these videos and it would be so strange to go down to just doing IC and OC, but I think FL might have taken too much on in the past year with the Mortal editions and the Adult subscription, because their item inclusions seem like they aren’t being cared about at all. It’s such a shame, because when I first subscribed to FL two years ago their items were the best every month!

February Fairyloot for the items was a disappointed for me too. Their items always looks the same, I am getting tired of them. Owlcrate always have the the most useful items in my opinion (about the books they said they will try to do sprayed edges in the future). For this month my favorite was illumicrate. I love the items and the book is just amazing.

I have heard OwlCrate are going to be doing sprayed edges, and I am SO excited to see what their designs will look like! It was so hard to pick between OC and IC this month.

Love the video! Personally I would choose Illumicrate as those book lights are so expensive and worth around 32 pounds on their own! Plus the bottle is a very high quality item. Book is stunning stunning stunning. I personally dont like book box blankets as I feel they are always too small for me to use :(

Holy heck, I had no idea 😂 in hindsight I do wonder if I should have chosen IC - I didn’t realise while filming that the light changed colour and that is such a cool feature, and I’ve used it a few times to read physical books while my children have been asleep and it is the *perfect* level of brightness.

i feel like fairyloot has the best book designs but item wise they're rly lacking especially considering that they're the most known book subscription. illumicrate is the most balanced one has a few decent items and books look decent too. owlcrate is lacking book design wise but their items are cute.
