I personally feel for it. My schooling in the 1970s and 1980s in KANNADA medium has put a tremendous inferiority complex in me during my initial days. Studied in Christain school which had moral science as one subject wherein all Christian students were taken to Chapel attached to the school and we non-Christians had to learn whatever they say. Took the Science stream and hence all this civilization issue stopped except inferiority complex due to poor English language. I consider myself a thoughtful person who developed a negative version of our religion due to this onslaught of so-called modernity. I am now embarrassed. I appreciate your honesty in looking critically at your own education and development. I wish more of our people (including myself) could do the same. I grew up in a catholic school as well and we were exposed to the same things that you were exposed to in school life. In my entire history learning at school I never knew anything about the brilliance of the Ahoms of Assam or the naval strength of the Chola empire or the courage of Naiki Devi. We had one small chapter on Marathas and I never learnt the greatness of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj or Rana Pratap. Today, I look back at all this and realise we were deliberately made to feel inferior through our education system - the Bharata consciousness was deliberately uprooted from our minds. This mindset is what has kept us crawling in the dirt today - we constantly seek validation from the West instead of looking inwards at our ancient knowledge systems and darsanas. We should rise, reclaim our sense of heritage, our self-worth and take a deep interest in learning our true history, our roots, our culture and our Dharma. This spirit is needed in all of us. We must each do it as individuals (don't need to point fingers at others). If we all make a sincere effort at an individual level it will have a massive ripple effect that will help our future generations. I do not have kids today despite being in my 30s, but if I had one in the future I would not want that child to grow up in Bharat not knowing the depth of his ancestry or the wisdom of the rishis.

Until I finished my Masters in History, I was very much influenced by Gandhi. However, as I started going deeper and deeper, I was shocked by knowing the evil designs of Gandhi, his hollowness and crazy ideas. That idiot misinterpreted Gita by completely delinking it with importance of violence. Gita never invoked absolute non-violence instead it mandated violence to crush the violence, if needed. Gandhism literally pushed back India centuries ago not only in the field of knowledge but economics also.

true secular? there is no such thing as 'true secularism',if at all there is any,then it is christian secularism,JSD himself wouldn't agree with you if you were to call him true secular, this is what JSD talks about in his book,that coloniality is deep rooted in Hindu mind and they are searching for 'true' in everything that is fundamentally inconsistent in Bharat's tradition. That's the reason he says 'Hindu secular', to uproot the christian moorings of the word. I met JSD recently,he blasted those who spoke about 'true secularism' and 'pseudo-secularism',he said all this is bs,it's only christian secularism. it's sad that even a so-called fan of JSD is ignorant of the origins and the usage of the word and the concept of secularism.It's really a shame if you have listened to JSD and still use 'true secularism'.I wonder what's the use of listening to him if you don't get what he has been saying almost in all the talks.
