Looking forward to your renouncement and denouncement video. God sent people to you early in the process but you weren't ready to receive. We pray God's mercy and the spirit of wisdom. I write this of after being in a sorority for over 17 years. This is not outside looking in, this is from within now OUT. To God be the glory. Also, don't worry about Christians being mad, focus on if the God of the Holy Bible is pleased.

I never idolized my organization. Even when I was on line, I didn’t repeat all the rituals bc it didn’t sit well with me… the kneeling, the things we had to say, the rituals that is. So I honestly figured there would be a day that I would renounce/ denounce. One of the biggest things that God showed me was these organizations have stereotypes & ppl automatically box you into them. So when you wear those letters, are they seeing your org & its stereotypes or seeing God? I honestly don’t want anyone to see anything but Christ when they see me. So Lord, continue to decrease me and increase you. God bless everyone.

I’d you didn’t kneel at the altar in that dark room with all those candles and say I do, then you didn’t make a covenant. If you did all that…you did make a covenant. If what they wanted you to say didn’t sit well with you and you don’t repeat what you were asked to say then you aren’t really a part of the organization. Please ask God to taken the blinders off.

I say this with love… there is absolutely no way God and his word reflect the very things you have to do in order to join these Greek fraternities or sororities and the fact that people are justifying it THIS much demonstrates the idolatry even more. 1. The references to the ritual book as a “Delta Bible” is not of God and is mockery of God’s sacred word. 2. Creating an alter and bowing down in honor of founders is not of God, you only now and sing praises to the most high Exodus 20:3 and Romans 14:11 3. Taking scripture from the word per the ritual book (a paraphrase of 1 Corinthians..) is a dangerous offense ! Adding to, deleting, or manipulating scripture is a big NO. It’s literally addressed in the last verses of Revelations. Revelations 22:18-19 4. A Greek god or deity is still attached to the origins of the organization whether you choose to acknowledge it yourself.. as soon as you spoke those words during your process, as soon as you bowed down in front of an alter, as soon as you sent praises to Delta and replaced instances of God with “Delta” via scripture YOU most certainly made a covenant with familiar spirits. That was not the Holy Spirit telling you to return to Greek life that was the familiar spirit, keyword familiar! 5. There are comments referring to relying on the Bible and the holy scripture as being a form of idolatry? Incorrect. God’s word was purposely written in such a manner for Christ followers to not be deceived by the world as you have been. 6. Anything deriving from Greek mythology ITSELF is in direct opposition of God. Ask yourself if God came down and told you to leave the organization for him would you? If there is hesitation on your end that is a form of idolatry. Are you a believer first or a dedicated delta first? God bless you and I pray you receive revelation and deliverance.

1. No one refers to the Ritual as a Bible. It is a Ritual. The Bylaws are far more important. 2. We don't kneel at an alter for our Founders. 3. The entire Bible was translated by the Church. Many things were altered to fit their purposes. 4. You need to study the origins of these organizations. This will enlighten you on the choices that were made. 5. Please revisit 6. Many holidays and customs are derived from Greek culture.

Former members of the organization can attest to participating in rituals that force them to kneel in front of alters, nonetheless even virtual initiations have led people to praise and take oaths to founders/the Greek organization which is not of God 3. The Bible was created by men who were inspired by God. The only one true living God. The Bible has been translated by many different countries with different languages and remains the same to this day. 4. I’ve studied the origins, for months.. lol and the Holy Spirit revealed plenty about the history. Freemasonry, Greek organizations (black and white), are all working against the the Word of God. This has nothing to do with racial inequality origins/roots. It has to do with Truth and blindfold idol worship. The only true enlightening happening is from God almighty, not your organization. 5. @Julianna Natalia what people choose to call something and what it is called are two different things. People call instruction manuals Bibles but they aren't. At no time was I ever forced to kneel. At no time did I take an oath to a Founder. People who have chosen to leave are free to do so. If they want to share their experience they can. But it is their experience not mine. We can argue idolatry within multiple things in this world. At that rate life would be totally boring. Thank you for your thoughts but I'm okay with my decision.

Good video, Sister Greek. I've been watching denouncement videos and I can't relate to most of them. I wasn't hazed. I don't idolize the organization. I didn't change my personality. I go to my meetings, do my service and go home. That said, I don't believe in bashing people who have made the decision to denounce. That's their personal walk and journey. As D9 members, we should respect it.

God is not a God of confusion. His voice will always be consistent with his written word. Holy Spirit only speaks from Jesus-Jesus only speaks from the Father. Holy Spirit will never speak something inconsistent with the word. The Bible is very clear on pledging oaths to anything other than God. What we say has power-pledging our lives to anything other then God is expressly prohibited by the Bible. The spirit calling you back into this organization wasn’t the Holy Spirit. You shouldn't be comparing the two because one is not a religion. Joining a Greek organization is not supposed to bring you closer to God just like joining the debate team at your school. Greek organizations do not pledge oaths to Greek Gods or any other Gods. Its about making a commitment to each other and the organization.

I think if you feel God led you to Delta, it was for you to help DELIVER women out of DELTA. My heart is crying right now, because GOD told myself and many other people to leave these organizations. I never idolized it, I was a leader and even in the bible the scripture is clear about not having any gods before him. Each D9 organization has a false greek god as the guiding force. As you know, Delta's is Minerva. Please really think about that. The friend who told you God would show you the heart of Delta, I don't know if that was for you to see how wrong it is or if the friend was sent in error. Sometimes when we want something soooooo bad, we find a way to make it line up with God's word. Your friend who tried to warn you, was correct. Here is part of my testimony: I denounced Delta a few years ago. God had been dealing with me about it even doing the last few weeks before crossing. One of my former line sisters reached out who had been “owt” and the most dedicated to DST. She told me she rededicated her life to God and felt like God was dealing with her on that idol worship that being in a sorority or fraternity brings. I knew it was a sign as well for me because I felt God dealing with me. She showed me how to file official paperwork because I had already renounced but never filed paperwork. We learned at the time that multiple people from that campus were feeling led to leave the greek organizations after realizing the deception and covenants we made in ignorance. Rituals we did that needed repentance. At that time one of my former neo's called me because she said she needed someone to talk to and knew I was a Christ follower. she had no idea that I was denouncing DELTA, she started telling me how she has been feeling uneasy about being in the organization and was scared and didn’t know what to do. I went ahead and let her know that I was in the middle of denouncing and I was so glad that she reached out to me and she felt such a sense of relief. All of us went through the process of filing paperwork together and getting released from the organization back to back. There was a mass exodus of people leaving those organizations (all divine 9) over the next two years now to the point where they are writing special stipulations in your withdrawal forms. People are exposing secrets of how much darkness is associated with these orgs. If you want to learn about the ritual books (yes, we had ritual books smh) and the process of leaving or need additional support because it’s thousands of us who have obeyed God and left, the website is outfromamongthem.com I also got sick A LOT when in the organization. I am grieved listening to this because I know without a doubt, God wants to use you to come OUT from among them. May your eyes be opened to HIS truth. I pray you see that the Holy Spirit may be leading you to pray with others but not to yoke up with an organization that has demonic forces attached to it. Go back and read your ritual book with a spiritual eye. I was like you, the praying Delta, the one helping people, helping lead people to church and doing the sermon/prayers etc. But God showed me the TRUTH. It was scary leaving, I had all the reasoning as you, but this is idolatry. I'm not bashing you or trying to judge you. I am trying to warn you of how God is still trying to speak to you about this. It would be better for you to say that you wanted to be a member of DST rather than saying Holy Spirit led you to be a part of that organization. God would not lead you to join an organization that is dedicated to a false god, yes, Delta Sigma Theta is headed by the false god Minerva. Having a hard time believing that? It’s on the Delta sorority crest at the top for everyone to see. That face is that of Minerva. I’m not sure what your intake process was, you said that you didn’t bow or take an oath, even if that is true you’re still aligned to an organization that is dedicated to a false god. Thanks to God for allowing a situation to occur that eventually altered your sister’s path to the sororities. She should think of it as if she was in a hurry to get to work on time or to some event but a set of last minute circumstances prevented her from getting there or getting there on time. She is now held up in traffic and has to detour and once she reaches work she noticed that people were in tears. All of the co- workers who would have arrived on time were killed in a massive collision and explosion along her normal route. We thank God for the undeserving grace because we are no more worthier than the ones who caught up in the tragedy. Beloved keep God’s commandments and go and sin no more.

Hi Star, how would you respond to the portion of the Delta ritual book that states that “we believe in a spiritual life but we leave to the individual the selection of the medium for its outward manifestation”? Christians aren’t permitted to randomly select the god of our choice. I would’ve loved for you to specifically address the ritual book and the reasons why Christians take issue with D9 organizations instead of just saying God told you it’s alright. You will be held accountable for what’s stated in this video. For the sake of your audience, I would challenge you to be more objective and less subjective in your reasoning. I’m probably coming across as cold hearted right now which isn’t at all my intention. I actually care about how God and the church are represented. He is grieved by the deception of these organizations blindly leading people into idolatry, but many will not listen and are rejecting the truth. I’ve been a Delta for over 30 years AND am a prophetic dreamer. Any spiritual warfare I have encountered has been far from that. My path has been similar to yours, in the sense that the miracle of making line where it was very competitive and against all odds for the vast majority of women on my campus, was actually what led me to give my life over to the Lord to be saved in 1992, and it was a moment that pulled together all the various ways in which I had been building faith and trust in Him over several years, though I was a person raised in the church and Catholic schools who abstained from fornication, and reflected a lot on my purpose and destiny. On line, I had a very similar experience to yours of ministering to others as a “babe in Christ,” and one of my line names was “Heaven Sent.” The histories of black organizations are very complex and they have been a source of support in a racist system. I think that had I not become a Delta, I would have gotten to know far fewer people in college, and missed out on building networks and opportunities that have been useful over the years. Sometimes, people invoke and weaponize faith to bully others and because of anti-social attitudes. Some who claimed joining Delta was not of God back then were in some cases possibly camouflaging “prideful” and “egotistical” attitudes that made them avoid applying and taking the risk of rejection, and have also limited themselves in many other ways. I am very thankful I did not allow myself to be discouraged by such attitudes back then. Actually, the equivalent of the “friend” mentioned in this video had been pursuing Delta, but stopped after invoking religion as a concern. She claimed back then that she had bought me congratulatory balloons as a gift but they blew out of the trunk of her car, and I can’t believe I didn’t see her jealousy. This past spring, I finally realized that she had been stalking and “monitoring” me since freshman year, when she became friends with my roommate, though I had initially kept distant from her myself while out and about, and in passing. I realized that she had a spirit of divination in attempting to prophesy in my life on issues from my job to marriage. I also realized that this person was a covert narcissist, and finally blocked her. The very night before that happened this past January, I’d had a dream of watching a reptile and in another flash, a large snake, crawling away. She’d told me that she wanted to “strangle” me freshman year over a male friend of mine who visited me and that she liked, something I had long forgotten until I found a letter draft I wrote freshman year in which I was expressing initial misgivings about her in the course of describing people I’d been meeting. I thank and praise God for Delta. If anything, it probably also helped save me from yet more contact in college with someone who was not as sincere a Christian or friend as I had believed! Once she was no longer occupying that space, God began to resurrect friendships that I had ignored because of this “frenemy,” and I realized that focusing on this friendship back then had also kept me from getting to know some Delta Sorors. With that said, symbolism isn’t something that I feel comfortable with, so don’t wear it, and definitely discourage oaths as well.

I feel these people who say frats or sororities are idols then i ask what idols do you have if you're not in one. A car , a job , a person , a house anything can be an idol. So if you put these things before God then you are going against his covenant. All the scriptures that people piece together which is out of context is all foolishness. It is frustrating seeing people post vids on Greeks being demonic, etc etc. It feels like every time black people do anything even when it is good, we (black) people still find something negative to say about it. And posts a bunch of videos tearing something down that historically and currently are so good for the community. Everything has a dark side, Christianity even has a dark side to it. This is the danger of biblical knowledge to some who literally use it as a sword to devour anything in there path. These D9 organizations are not churches or religions that are spreading doctrine, proselytizing and demanding worship from their followers. Only recently joined a D9, but this is the furthest from the truth as you can get. At the core, these groups are social and community service organizations with a strong social side amongst its members. Do some get lost in it and it becomes their God? Yes, but the same can be said about others who trade their relationship with God for work, a spouse/mate, their children, a hobby etc. And this over emphasis on initiation rituals and songs suggesting that we are singing praises to and now worshipping Greek Gods is ridiculous and overblown. The grand irony of this is that a vast number of members of these organizations join while in college, however all but abandon it both financially and civically post collegiate years. So all these videos of members “pledging their lives” is ridiculous to me, as ridiculous as those pledging allegiance to our flag and the record number of divorcees who took lifelong oaths before deciding otherwise. There is a BIG difference when you bow/kneel temporarily out of those gestures you mentioned vs kneeling out of WORSHIP. I have been wrestling with the desire to pledge Delta for many years. I always wanted to be a Delta since I was 9 years old. My mother was a Delta. She often spoke of historical legendary Deltas and celebrities in the organization. My sister and I assisted with a large social service event my mother's chapter was sponsoring when I was 9. I always wanted to pledge and be accepted in Delta before she passed away. I prayed and several years ago I too believed it was idolatry. So, my desire to join became dormant. About 5 years ago I had a strong desire to join again. But there were no opportunities available to me at the time. Last year my mother passed away, and I grieve frequently because I never became a Delta. I even watch new probate videos etc.. If I notice someone wearing Delta items or D9 items I immediately assist them (I provide customer service). I'm expressing this from my heart to say if God made a way for you and truly led you to be a Delta then God be with you! And be grateful and blessed.

I highly encourage you to look very deeply into the rituals, chants, historical references, and compare it with the word and scriptures from the Bible. If the things of your organization clash with the actual word of God, it is not of God. He will fulfill all of His promises; however, it is very vital for you to be intentional in prayer and ask of things according to His will. Very similar to you, I prayed to God to allow me to be apart of something that I deemed was bigger than me but in the end He showed me that my organization is not of Him and He led me back to scripture to show me. I know that many take issue with taking oaths. I looked up the definition and there is little distinction between an oath, vow, and pledge. If Christians or people espousing the belief that one cannot make a pledge or make vows, they should not get married, pledge allegiance, join the military, or take jobs that require taking an oath. And yes, marriage is a vow made with God as its foundation. But if God doesnt want people to take vows/oaths, it would be consistent as His word is always consistent. God will never contradict himself. We can also get into who wrote the biblical text, whether the text is inerrant or not or somewhere in between but that's too much and also none of my business. But it's also really interesting that people will find fault with any and everything Black folks decide to do. The Panthers, the NOI, Prince Hall Masons, Marcus Garvey Movement/UNIA and of course, BGLOs. All of these are part of black history and the founders of these organizations were doing their best with what they knew and understood at the time. Additionally, with all of the various clergymen in these orgs with advanced degrees in divinity or who were well trained in their various church orgs, somebody would have said something or amended the initiation rites. Advanced degrees have nothing to do with being disciplined in the scripture or salvation… ? Your assumption that imperfect beings would be eager to correct their wrongs is amusing, people who don’t know the word and aren’t dedicated to obeying the word will likely be reluctant to call out their own faults. God is not a God of confusion … so these ritual books which attempt to include Christian principles but participate in contradictory things and attach themselves to false gods are Satan’s ploy for confusion; this leads leaders of the church astray all the time if they’re not careful. I do know that horrible things go on in some Greek pledge period, at which time you need to put an end to it then. I do know that I pledges have been severely injured and have even died, and these things should never have happened. I pledged Delta in 1980, back when stuff was CRAZY. My chapter was pretty low key and concentrated mainly on learning info, becoming sisters, and having fun as one. There was NOTHING demonic about my pledge period and nothing that went against my Christianity or salvation. I mean really, it's a club, it's an organization, it's a sisterhood...that's all it ever was to me. Some people are weak minded and will go along with anything. Now people want to have a problem with throwing up the Delta trying to say it's like JayZ does and he's illuminati. Well, he was throwing up a DIAMOND, not a triangle. And Deltas were throwing up the DELTA (which is actually the greek letter) way before he was even born. And us having a RITUAL has nothing to do with Satan or demons unless you make it that. Definition of ritual: a religious or solemn ceremony. I have no siblings and no children. My line sisters are real, and I thank God for them. They are all saved and believe in Jesus Christ as I do. They have stepped up for me on SEVERAL occasions, and I would not have them if it were not for Delta. It's kind of like, "Make that money, don't let the money make you." I'm gonna be that Delta, and I'm never gonna let Delta or any other earthly thing make me.

My God, I needed to hear this video I have really been looking into joining DST for a while now and has looked up all these people who denounced for spiritual reasons and I asked God to show me if this something that will harm my relationship with him. And then I found this video!!! Praise God cause I have always wanted to be a Delta since I was 14. I just want to say that I think the people who God told to denounce the organization were people who idolized it. So once they came in to more of a spiritual relationship with God they saw that they couldn't idolize both. If so I have seen and have herd a few people and family members (different ages) who have told me that joining in undergrad years is completely different from joining as a adult, wheather its in a new chapter after college is over or just by working closely with the org. I indeed knew about the ritual books because of the extensive research I have done including asking a few people from DTS and AKA who have spilled the beans about a few things. The ritual book is only a one time deal after undergrad you don't see it or use it at all. I think maybe someone needs to talk to the organizations about this ritual book that the pledges are experiencing in Undergrad. Everyone I knew who joined a new chapter after college or just freshly coming in as a older adult never had to deal with a ritual book or certain type of covenants to join. I definitely think someone who has mixed feelings when joining shouldn't join at all. Me on the other hand, made peace with God about joining and this is something I have prayed about for over a year now so I spent a lot of time with God about it. I don't think any of the organizations are demonic, however I think you kind of proved what I was saying in my first statement about idolizing the organization. If your friend felt a type of way because of all of the idol worship she endured then she was probably someone who made the organization her life instead of making God the center of her life, just like anything else in life. I go to a pentecostal church and there are a few memebers who hold prominent positions in the church who have joined the divine 9 and what I got from their experiences was that you have to still know who you are serving in your life cause God will convict you when you not making him the head of your life sorority or no sorority. I mainly see a sisterhood, networking purposes and community outreach when I see DST and that is my main purpose.

If God were to tell me today to not join I would do as he says. At the end of the day once you have herd from God yourself about these organizations for yourself then you proceed with your decision. My goal is to never join something that will make God upset. Along with seeking Gods face is also doing your research and weighing out the cost as being apart of the body of Christ and any organization. Joining a Greek Org. really comes down to your motives. I just watched the full video, and I find it interesting how you used alot of what God told you, and not enough scripture to back it up. There are more scriptures that back up the fact that it is Idolatry, than what it is that you are saying. People please beware. Just because you heard a word from "God", doesn't mean that it is a word from God. Test the spirits! "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Unless your understand contextual understanding and how to properly use it... everything is subject to your understanding. Many are called but few are chosen. In order to be chosen there must be understanding that is not yours. One cannot teach what they do not know and the Holy Spirit will give understanding from that which you can understand.
