Hey Karen. Thanks for doing this review. I have seen many reviews of this book. However, I didn’t decide to buy it until after I saw your review. I love your reviews. Definitely a lovely whimsical book. I think the image you questioned about whether they were cats amongst the flowers, are actually otters judging by the small round ears. Happy colouring!

I found the paper challenging too, polychromos tend to skid on the surface, but Albrecht Durer worked better dry, and I could activate and then go over again. Inktense was great used wet in wet, Neocolor II were harder to get smooth surfaces than with some others say Hanna Karlzon paper. It’s going to be fun watching colour alongs to see what you come up with!!

I am so enchanted with this book! The illustrations are all so whimsical and the level of detail in the elements is just right. I also think it's a perfect coloring book for the holidays - so many fun adventures in all the pages! Can't wait to do a color along in this one with you! ❤
