I am from Greece ,i know him since i was 6 years old when i start making plastic models and taking part to the IPMS competitions ,Tsonos was a monster of a modeler back in 1990s already,he is not making a new model every year ,it was taking to him couple years and more to finish something but i dont remember Ever him bring a model to compete without go home with Gold medal and some times best of the show trophy ! Same for all the European and global events he used to go ,i remember some of the Modelers that knew him by the years at the European and Global IPMS events to say.... "When Tsonos brings a new model see if yours is good enough for second place because you dont get to see the first "He is very humble i dont think he does any social media thats why you dont see his models almost ever around and most of the times are posted by his friends not by him !

Thanks for your comment - we have a similar "problem" here with an extremely talented aircraft modeller, Eric Galliers! If he enters anything, you just settle for a place! Cheers Chris

Cheers for the review mate! Over the years I have watched Megas' work and how his skills have gradually been developed into such a high level of accuracy and detailing (as a matter of fact, he had judged one fo my models). Truly amazing work from an experienced scale modeller.

Thanks for the comment Bill! Indeed his work is exemplary, one hopes to get somewhere close to that skill level one day. cheers Chris

Cheers chap. Answered what I needed to know. I dabble in "improving" where I have to so it sounds ideal. The old "you are not modelling if" comment is typical sadly these days. As a shooter we said "give a good rifleman a mediocre rifle and he will still outshoot a mediocre shot with a good rifle". I see it all the time with folk who "need" everything in the biggest scale possible because they believe it will give a better end result....not if you can't build it well it won't. The lack of skills will still show through. That Tamiya falls together 1:35 beauty will still look like an airfix classic built by a kid if you don't work at it. Bottom line though is as long as you enjoy it, happy days. (Just don't put droopy rotor blades on a Lynx....or die tired😳🤬🤣)
