Thank you so much for explaining what the hell was going on in this book. I couldn't get through it at all, I had to DNF. The writing style and "plot" just really put me off.

I was BLOWN AWAY that The Serpent & the Wings of Night had over 60K ratings!! How does a novel, book 1 of 2, which was published about a year ago, get SIXTY THOUSAND+ ratings??!

I just started it and I'm already having the same thoughts you had. I have no idea what's going on and how this 23 year old girl is smashing vampires. I don't know if I want to keep going. Ugh.

Thank youuuuuuuuuu 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I honestly was getting worried for my own sanity. I agree with everything you said. Plus why everyone was entering death contest with their best friends and siblings was beyond me. I kept reading only because of the suppose great shock in the end which was only because we didn’t know the rules of the world and therefore couldn’t guess it like everything else that happened. And even that was handled poorly. So many things I want to say but mainly: thank you 🙏

Totally agree 1000% I tried but nothing made sense. Just a strong, human character, that dislikes vampires but lives with one, who constantly repeats she is human, never interacts with humans. I was so bored 😅
