The reason why no one else later questioned the succession is because afterwards, a dozen or so of Corlys nephews went to Viserys demanding Rhaenyra answer for this & Viserys instead had all their tongues removed. Literally silencing them

What was wrong? He said the truth they are illegitimate! What did he do that was wrong? Trying to prevent someone with no rights whatsoever from inheriting? They are Rhaenyra kids so I understand why she did what she did but she was in the wrong you don’t mess with someone ancient House lineage
