If you cannot read Pride & Prejudice or need to get a boost into reading it, I would suggest watching the BBC Drama from the mid 90s. It Stars Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy, and the girl that plays Elisabeth Bennett is really good. I am so old now, I saw this series first, and then You Got Mail, and well, I decided it was the time to try to read it. It was a few years before I met my husband, and I was still talking about it when I did so. We are both book lovers, he is mostly into history, fantasy and science fiction. I read Detective Fiction, Romance, and contemporary/historical fiction. I also read Native American history and literature, being native. I will read POC/BIPOC books during the months, like Black History Month, Pacific Island and SE Asian month, and Hispanic and Latin American month.

I love going to Author book signings! In April I went to a book festival in Irving, Texas and although I’ve never read Victoria Aveyards books, my friend had recently read Red Queen and absolutely loved it, so I got it signed for her because she couldn’t come (I live almost 5 hours away, so I was very lucky that I was able to make the drive, but I had to skip my Junior Prom for it, and it was totally worth it) but anyways, she was so incredibly kind! I highly recommend following your favorite authors on social media to learn when and where they're doing book signings. I'm pretty sure you’ve said you live in Texas, and a lot of authors go to Houston, Austin or Dallas.
