Fun fact : Kunyo was Azula's firebending master before Lo and Li. She refused to follow his intructions because her improvised forms were better but Kunyo was insisted she should be doing classic firebending forms. So she burned his pants off and snitched him to the fatherlord. Ozai banished him to the colonies. There he got butt whopped by Toph and her students. A moment of silence for Kunyo. He is hated by both the protagonists and the antigonists.

It honestly just feels like they were out for the money because ATLA has such a huge fanbase and they just utterly destroyed nearly all the characters- even Momo's live action version feels weird. And Katara and Sokka in the lovers cave was just?? If they know they can't add anything to the lore at all (and are not able to understand the characters), they should have just sticked to the amazing template they had with the original series- or make a whole new story abt Kyoshi or Roku or whoever... I'm so sad that even after all those years we just can't get the animated version of the Comic, it's such a shame. Pretty sure if the money was there, everyone would be on board to make it happen!

Yeah for real! Zuko later says it’s because Iroh was enjoying a peaceful life running his tea shop in Ba Sing Se, and Zuko felt guilty disturbing him. Even so, he would’ve been a better choice than Ozai, Zuko! I guess it’s in character for him to doubt himself and not always make the best decisions because of it…

​​@@Book4Airi disagree. Ozai is the one that has been Firelord. You must confront darkness and learn from it while still not be succumbed by it. Ozai is very necessary for Zukos growth,in some ways that Iroh cant offer. Zuko did the right choice,he may not have handled it as well as he should but it was the right choice. Remember Zuko became basically the best Firelord,and even Iroh says in the novels(2 decades after Book 3) that Zuko became the man that Ozai should have been. For Zuko to do that he must understand and learn the darkness as well.

I can't get over how good the voice acting is. Ozai, Zuko, Sokka -- these are NOT easy voices to do, and your cast is nailing them. The voices and the SFX are awesome to the point that I can easily multitask the way I would with any TV show, and know exactly who is speaking and what is happening.

Man everything about this is almost perfect. The voice acting, music, visuals, but some of the voice actors sound like they're using their nokia phone shoved inside 8 layers of socks for recording their lines, It's a real shame because they are truly skilled and talented, they delivered their lines flawlessly. Still though, this is infinitely better than reading it. I can assume this is more a passion project rather than a practical business though, especially with the copyright nightmare that this probably goes through. This truly makes me feel like I'm watching a season of ATLA that I never heard about. I never will read the book, tbh. TYSM for this and I hope everyone who's worked/working on this knows how talented they are.

When we started this project, some of our actors had lost housing and stability due to the pandemic so we made use of what we had. Ozai may have hated Zuko but a lot of things he did actually helped Zuko grow. I believe he wanted Zuko to grow up to be like him,when he thought he became ruthless enough due to what Azula told him he accepted him and he put him OVER Azula(the wiki confirms this). Ozai wanted the Zuko we see in Zukos nightmare where he is the firelord with the two dragons,he wanted another version of himself so his rule would essentially continue even after he passed. I dont believe his exile was to get rid of him permanently,and obviously a grown up Avatar wouldn't kill an angsty teenager if Aang really was old. He even says he was pleased that his travels changed Zuko.(The avatar wasnt captured) Ozai wanted to BREAK Zuko and rebuilt him in his own image. Thats why he seemed to kinda want Zuko to kill him if it came down to it.Because Ozai also killed Azulon(with Ursas poison). Kinda like Palpatine, but when both saw the young hero was beyond corruption they shot lightning at Zuko/Luke Zuko already had Ozais appearance(at the same age they are physically nearly the same),and if Zuko got his personality too then Ozai would have attained immortality in a way Its actually all more complex than people see,but also even WORSE and more evil than it seems. Azula was favored cause she was the one more like her father. The moment Zuko isnt an option anymore he made the Firelord position irrelevant to put Azula in it and he took an even higher position. He hated him but he always planned for Zuko to be the next Firelord

I am so happy to have found this channel of yours! 💖 I love the work you put in this series! I was looking for a way to read the comics, and this is so much better than just reading 😊 Amazing episode! Sokka's singing with all the power he had in his lungs were both so funny and surprisingly good too haha also, seeing the vulnerable side of the melon lord was quite nice. I love Toph.
