No. EDM literally stands for Electronic Dance Music and is not a specific genre in itself, as it refers to all dance music made electronically. You may be thinking of either IDM (which stands for Intelligent Dance Music and is a genre similar to glitch music) or EBM (which stands for Electronic Body Music and is a genre closely related to industrial music) You might want to check out Ishkur's guide to electronic music, it's a pretty good database, a little dated, but good nonetheless.
