I totally agree about the ending. I mean I love all of these characters and didn't want any of them to die so I'm happy. I'm also glad that SJM didn't change the ending because of criticism and pressure from people. Also how good were the battle scenes!!! The writing was so impressive, I had low expectations after the battles in ACOWAR, but these were amazing they reminded me so much of Lord of the Rings.

I agree Aedion was frustrating me so much!!! My favorite scene was Fenrys and Aelin getting out together and his scratch for the blood oath becoming her first new scar.

I was really satisfied with Kingdom of Ash!!!!! It's definitely in my top 3 fave in the series (1st being Heir of Fire and 3rd being Tower of Dawn)!! I loved everything about KoA from the writing to the pacing to the characters to the relationships !!!! I was so impressed with how SJM pulled everything off. It's hard to pick a favorite character from the book but the chapters/scenes I enjoyed the most was Elide and Lorcan!!!! I shipped them so hard since Empire of Storms and I'm so so happy to be finally reunited with them in this book after 2 years lol. I just LIVED for the angst and they were so cute ahhhh!!! That scene tho where Elide got Chaol's horse and ran off the battlefield just to save Lorcan ugh love it. I also really enjoyed the ending and I was sobbing so hard bc the goodbyes between the characters were so bittersweet and I felt like I was also saying goodbye to them. And I agree with you, Aedion/Lysandra's scenes were also my least favorite!!

I liked the happy ending but also was bummed when the 13 died sacrificing themselves. I liked Dorian & Manon, really loved Lysandra and Elide in this one and I like Aelin and Rowan. I was very impressed Dorian learned to be a shape shifter and thought it was funny when he became a mouse--that made me laugh. The wrdkeys still did not make sense to me and I was relieved when I finished because it was so long and such a heavy book to carry to/from work. Good job on your video.

Yes I totally agree, definitely a 5/5 because of the satisfying end ☺ Of course when you look at the overall series there are some issues, but damn did I get pretty attached to the characters 🖤 Manon, Dorian, the 13, Elide, Gavriel...love them & Yrene!

Yay another Chaolena shipper! I loved the reunions too they were my favorite part in the entire book! And I totally agree with you. Aelin wasn't my favorite character but I liked her better in this book. She felt more like Celaena again which I was cool. I still thought that Dorian deserved better. Everyone got their happy ending and ended up with someone EXCEPT him. Sure there's this thing with Manon but we don't know if they're ever going to get together. That made me kinda sad and he definitely deserved better. But yeah, otherwise this was a very satisfing ending to an amazing series and I totally cried my eyes out when Aelin had to say goodbye to Chaol and Dorian. My fragile heart just couldn't take it.

My friend talked me into reading this series a couple months ago and I became obsessed! Thanks to audiobooks I flew through them. I loved the last book and I’m ok with the happy ending bc of those that did die plus like you said they all went thru hell. I love Elide and Lorcan plus Chaol and Yrene. So many good characters and epic moments! I like Rowan. I think he complements Aelin well bc she’s so over the top and he’s calmer. I accepted him once their relationship started to blossom and I think they fit well together.

I thought this was a really satisfying conclusion. It was a fairy-tale sort of ending, but like you said they all sacrificed so much to get there, so it didn't seem cheesy imo bc they all went through so much. I was so happy to feel more strongly connected to Aelin again and I'm so happy she and everyone else got their happy endings. Dorian freakin killed it in this book. The 13's death was devastating, but I'm proud of Manon's growth. Overall loved it.

I also thought KOA was a great finale to the series. I did think more characters should have died when the stakes were so high but it's not like I wanted to see them die. It doesn't make sense to me that Gavriel died. It seemed like a big waste. I'm glad the victory wasn't just about Aelin in this book. I enjoyed Yrene and how she saved the day but I did think it was a little too easily done. I'm glad Aelin redeemed herself in this book. I didn't like her as much when she changed from Celaena. I was a Celaena/Dorian shipper since book 1, which obviously did not happen. I also loved Manon's arc in this book even though I'm not crazy about her relationship with Dorian, or whatever you call it.

I agree with all of this! As for Gabriel's death, part of me feels like it was done just so she can say she killed off some characters, but his death did feel unnecessary. I wish authors would be more willing to kill off some of their main characters. It just not realistic to have a war this big and have all of the main/big characters survive. Yes, it hurts when they die, but it just shows how serious their situation is. Lots of favorite characters die or are injured in the HP series, which makes things more intense cause you know any of them could die in this war.

My favourite character is Mannon and Dorian. But Mannon is 👸 her transformation is just WOW. My favourite couple is Mannon and Dorian. They are just the most intresting. My favourite books are Crown of Midnight and Tower of dawn. I liked Kingdom of ash, but I think its too long. The 13 dying was the most powerful part. I loved the series, just not the main characters. I still cant forgive Sara for what she done with Caol. 😀

The thing with the lock will never not drive me crazy😂😂. If Aelin was just going to fake out Erawan for Elena, why, whyyyyyyyyy couldn't they have just waited till after the battle, by which time, they may have found it unnecessary or Yrene could have helped and all four of them joined hands, a chain of power.

I can't watch this yet but I have to tell you how excited I am that I FINALLY started the series for the #FallintoFantasy readathon. I have been itching this week to start the series and I thought it was the best excuse, even though I am in the middle of so many books. I am not a multiple book reader, but when readathons start, I stop whatever I am reading and some I never went back to lol. So many readathons, so little time! I am only on page 40 of Throne of Glass but I love it! I can't wait to finish it and watch this video! It might be forever from now though LOL! ♥

This book was the biggest disappointment of the year for me. I adored every book in this series even ToD, but this book was low-key boring and I'm really salty about Gav dying because we got no father son moment with him and Aedion, so what was the point? Also what was the point of Nox? Jesus. I did like Dorians parts and was sad about the 13. I gave it a flat 3 stars 🌟🌟🌟
