AHHHHHHHHHH I hope ya'll like this because it took hours to film. And it was very emotional to dump these books in the donation bin. I'm just a firm believer in being super intentional in the items you keep long term in your space, and sometimes that means making tough decisions. I've donated around 3,000 book to local libraries in the past five years. It was crazy. I was in every book club back in the day. Decades worth of those. Plus Amazon, bookstore and thrift store haunting. I ended up having multiple copies of the same books and didn't even realize it because the shelves were packed so tightly. I got rid of old TBRs, ones I didn't like and especially the ones where the print was hard to read or the physical book quality wasn't good. I still have five shelves I'm working through. Down to the keepers at this point.

If you can, find a local used bookstore to donate to! A lot of time they’ll give you credit for your donation and then you can get used books there for free. Usually a lower waste alternative! 😊

Love the book content!! I know the main focus of your content isn't necessarily book related but the fact that this is a facet of who you are and what you love is another reason why I admire you and watch your videos! Great video, love that you admire a ton of classics. Seeing Blue Like Jazz and CS Lewis took me backkkk, haha. I've been meaning to reread Donald Miller as well to see how I feel about his work now versus when I was in my teenage years.

I hold onto only like 7 books and the rest I read and then put in the free little library cases. If it’s a book I know will service a lot of people, I will loan it out to friends but still hold onto it myself. One that I’ve done this with is Come as You Are by Emily Nagoski.
