Sorry, I missed the live and the live comments, had to go to hospital for dangerously low sodium levels, got that sorted after three days so I had a good excuse. As an old American, it is fine with me if Americans were excluded, we have the Pulitzer and a host of other awards for our literature. As far as that goes, it would be fine with me if the Booker were limited to current members of the British Empire. Thank you both, enjoyed the video and Gem's suggesting of Samurai Muppets.😅

As far as books by Rachel Kushner go, I've read The Mars room, that was reasonably good..I'd say about 3,5 stars. But reading/hearing about her other work, I think The flamethrowers is generally regarded as her best book.
