I want to thank you Brad and Booker T for paying tribute to Jason David Frank. Two things stood above everything growing up for me, WCW and Power Rangers. It really hurts to know someone you looked up to has gone. But I take comfort in that Jason made an incredible impact on the world, which all of us enjoyed together. Once a ranger. Always a ranger.

Very down to earth and wise words from Booker T. What happened with JDF is so tragic, he was so well loved by so many people, especially around my age. I was 3 when MMPR first aired, I literally grew up with this show and his character. He was always there for the fans and really did have a lot of love for that character and all the people that adored him. He will be missed so much.

I met JDF twice at Alabama Con and he was a class act. He always told me he loves my energy. I met Booker T at WrestleCon and he’s phenomenal too! When wrestlers pay tribute to a guy who’s never been a wrestler, it shows the impact JDF and Power Rangers has had on so many people. JDF has had interactions with most pro wrestlers because most of were inspired by him and martial arts . I wanted to be like Tommy Oliver. Every guy did. This is beyond heartbreaking. I love you JDF. I miss you so much, man. Once a Ranger, always a Ranger🥺😢😢😢😭💔💔💔

The way Booker talks about the kid at Foot Locker, when I met Jason the first of many times I was literally shaking like that kid. I couldn't talk to him hardly at all, he was my hero for 20 years standing in front of me and he made everything so comfortable. Talked to me like I was important. It got to a point where I met him enough he at least recognized my face. Amazing person. Rest in peace Jason.

I remember attending nyc comic con a few years back and JDF was there. I was waiting in line to get a picture at his booth and he was next to hulk hogan’s booth. When I looked at the back of the line, there were more people in line to get a photo and autograph for JDF than hulk hogan (who is arguably popular as well after all these years). It just shows that this man had an impact in everyone’s lives including mine. RIP JDF and thank you for making my childhood great.

This still hurts now, I meet JDF doing security work at a comic con in the uk. He found out somehow I was a huge power rangers and JDF fan, he come up after the end of the day found me in the staff room, he said hay big man come with me real quick I got something for you. So there me walking to his back stage room there he gifted me a huge one of the bigest poster I have ever owned and he signed it for me, he thanked me for a really professional display from me and thanked me, me I mean come on I was just doing my job. But he said my energy and presence made him and his fans feel safe. He asked me why I liked power rangers so much as a kid so I told him my story, I was a young kid growing up I had found it hard to make friends after my little sister death and that I felt alone and I found comfort in power rangers. I also was in to martial arts due to my father being an instructor in ju-jitsu and he asked about my dad and how long he dedicated his life to the study of martial arts. To this day that half an hour I got after work with a childhood hero ment the world to me

I could tell JDF was always grateful to the fanbase. While other actors can view stuff like that from their earlier career as beneath them now, JDF always was engaged appearing for special anniversary episodes, for cameos when he can, still playing the same character in other series. He was always involved, and I saw how directly he loved the fans, it my first new york comic con some years ago; there was an anniversary special coming up so to advertise it Power rangers had a booth where if you collected enough stamps on this card you'd win a prize. And there that day was JDF in full green ranger outfit helmet and everything, there was a sea of people crowded around taking pictures. And he stood there by the booth happily taking pictures with as many fans as he could shaking their hand smiling asking them what they'd want. Dude was a class act, you could see the joy the love and appreciation he had on his face. And he didn't turn anyone away he stood there and took as many pics until the crowd died down and he left thanking the fans and took a lunch break. Great guy hope he rests easy and knows all the people he impacted from just one kids show years ago.

He gave me all the time in the world to talk to him. I remember talking to him about his MMA career, his favorite Power Rangers episode who he would want to fight in the UFC and even showed him a character model of his I created for him in the UFC 2 Video game. He was so nice about it. We’re going to miss you Jason! May the Power Protect you always!

I may not a fan of Power Rangers as I was as a kid, but I think the death of Jason Frank sucks. I might not know how he died, but I speak for all of Power Rangers fans that Jason Frank and his character Tommy Oliver will never forget. I mean it's not much to say because it's hard to accept the fact that he's dead. Hell, Kevin Conroy died and week later out of the blue, Jason Frank suddenly gone after Kevin Conroy's death. As much as I'll miss Kevin Conroy, I am feeling kinda sad that Jason Frank is no longer around. So, God rest both of their souls and let try hope for the best.😔🙏

Very good advice by Booker T. If you have some kind of fame and people tend to be fans of you, is very easy to become arrogant. While it's not a bad thing to be an admirer, it is a bad thing to be a fan and idolize famous people and just like Booker says, they are just like "regular" people.

I always had a mind what will be will be stuff happens to everybody so stuff is going to happen to you. You can’t take life so seriously. Do what you can but don’t take it so hard that you can’t or don’t want to do something. Saying no is okay and don’t feel bad about saying it. I think people take on too many responsibilities. There’s a saying don’t bite off more than you can chew. Get people away from you that stress you out. If they’re not bringing peace to you it’s alright to let them go. Relax yourself and remember it’s never that serious. RIP Jason David Frank!!!

It goes without saying but Booker's a class act. Also he seems a lot more coherent on this podcast than he does doing commentary, and that's not a knock on the guy, just something I noticed. He seems to talk a mile a minute on those shows, and it is entertaining but difficult to understand what he's saying a lot of the time. Here he slows down and it's a lot better.

I think what made this so bad was from the outside you'd never know depression or mental illness was an issue for him. I do think an awareness should be raised for men being taught that sharing and opening up isn't manly or makes you less strong of a man. Unfortunately in this case a lack of him getting help lead to JDF taking his own life. I watched Power Rangers for years and the green and white ranger were my favorite. So sad RIP.

3 things they kept telling us were bad influences when we were kids. Violent video games, pro wrestling and power rangers. I did and still do beg to differ. That is something that just came out of left field, and it happened before the American Thanksgiving and Christmas. The thing is that I predicted after Jason's untimely death was that fans would attack the wife. In my mind it is not right to do that, sending angry, hateful comments would not bring him back and change what happened. We should honour his memory with love and not hate. I'm not trying to bash his wife who was divorcing him, but it is common in Showbusiness where couples just split. While wives who are not celebrities and probably never worked a day in their life can be gold diggers and just file for divorce and get a hold of the husband's finances and assests. And those type of women can fabricate stories of abuse or infidelity.

I read JDF was going through a divorce. He and his estranged wife were arguing with each other in a hotel where hotel staff had to intervene and establish peace. They got into another heated argument where he made her leave the room. She was concerned and called the police. The police discovered that JDF hung himself. I don't know why they went to the same hotel. I don't know what they said to each other where JDF thought the only way out was death. I just wish it didn't end the way it did.
Don't underestimate anyone
