I decided to book a room at that the Mercure Bradford bankfield hotel for the night.

As a disabled person, a red-hot pipe next to the toilet is a horrible idea - you would think it was a grab rail! 😱 I wonder why all the posh people were having a reception at such a tatty hotel?

Is there any way to know if this is across "ALL" hotel chains? Does this happen in Premier Inn which seem in most cases always be clean?

Premier inn hk get from 24 minutes a room depending on room type ( single/double/twin, etc) up to 45 minutes for family and easy access rooms. Whitbread is a fantastic company to work for, and if the room needs extra work, it's ok to go over the time frame 😀

The yellow stains are off putting but not as bad as some of the beds in Blackpool.These bad stays wont be on Four in a bed anytime soon. 😊

Hello Ivan, The stairs were beautiful & the outside of the building was lovely, I also liked the pond & water fountain, The king size mattress from the 2nd room bed should of been on the 1st room bed, You had a better view out the window in the 2nd room, If I had a UV light I would be staying in another hotel again lol 😂🤣 Great video as always, Now away to watch your other channel video, 😊

They toilet was cracking up! That stain on the mat is grim. Looks like someone peed on it.😲 I enjoy your hotel reviews, Hotel Hunter. Your attention to detail is much appreciated.😃👍 The UV light inspection is an eye-opener for sure. I make sure I've eaten before I watch that part as I'm a bit pathetic when it comes to manky stains. But at the same time I'm fascinated by how much dirt there is that's not obviously visible. 🤓☺️

Dan looks a pleasant enough room unfortunately the stains picked up the uv light is unacceptable. It shows not enough maintenance in the hotel. If a hotel inspector had seen the stains he would have words with the owner. The star rating would drop immediately

This is the old Bankfield in the Bingley area . Near where I live last went a couple of Xmas ago and food was bad . Used to be a lovely hotel years ago as being for meals over the year as well as a couple of events .

We used to stay in the mercure hotels around St Helens and Warrington fairly often and they were really nice for the price. I had a complaint about one nights stay though and it still wasn’t resolved despite about 50 emails back and forth so I won’t be back unfortunately.

Wait so I've to do the hotels job by looking for faults or damages and report it to them it a room not a hire car. I go on holiday to relax not to run around a room looking for faults or damages. Is there a time limit for reporting faults i mean could i break something then go down the next day and say by the way i just found another fault or is it a case of you have 1hr to report any damages after that any damage is your responsibility. By the way i love your videos by the way keep up the great work.

I have a curious question to ask, I've noticed not for the first time with yourself and also one of the other bloggers who you have met up with and do similar hotels on their travels based on where they may have to work nearby, that a deposit of £50 is required for any potential room damage. I've never experienced this in Premier Inn, however from yours and other videos the hotels that request a deposit are hotels that lets just say are not in the greatest condition but maybe not the worst either, and it's possible that some hotels are sneakily trying to blame customers that they caused the damage and keep the deposit, 99% of stayers will not record the room or review like you are doing for example. I think people should in circumstances where the hotel demands a deposit that they record their findings in the room as soon as they enter so they can prove they are not to blame.

The Royal Windsor Hotel that we stopped in at Blackpool last Year also had a £50 deposit was think was absolutely disgusting mate especially when we were the one who were staying at that Hotel mate and that is the reason why we will not be stopping there ever again because it was absolutely awful buddy.

Mercure are the Accor brands 4 star hotels, I used to work in one. That’s a poor level of maintenance for a 4 star hotel.

Hi Dan, I didn't think the hotel was too bad, the housekeeper only get so long to clean the room. Definitely think they should wipe round the pedestal. Thought the price was very good, the room was a good size. Obviously a little old fashioned, but it is an old house. Was there any lifts or adapted rooms for the disabled? Thanks Dan.
