Being a history Optional aspirant, I went through the Sekhar Bandopadhyay's book for modern India, however I found it insufficient for the prelims and GS 1 mains. Do you think I should re refer the same book for prelims and GS 1 or should go through spectrum. I would really appreciate it if you help me out.

Mtlb kya du me padhai us level ki hoti ha ki wo upsc ko macth karde .... Like mujhe history honours karna ha and wohi me apna optional rakunga.... Tho kya du me professor itne ache hote ha kya ki agar me sirf unse padh lu tho mera optional clear ho jaye.....kyuki agar me college me apna time de rha hu tho worth it bhi hona chota in TERMS OF ACADEMICS ONLY........ Warna me local se karlu dummy college or sirf coaching karlu ise mere pass 3 saal rahga upsc ke liya jo ki mere ISAB SE JADA beneficial rahga..... Actually me maine kuch senior's se bat kari thi ramjas ke the wo... Bol rahe the ki professor padhne nai ate.. Class cancel karte ha.... Or utna kuch khas bhi nai padate..... Khud se padna padta hai. And exam ke 4 din phele ek book ati ha usko ratlo.... Bas.... Tho sach me asi padhai hoti ha kya.. Plz clarify karo........ Mujhe pata ha haki college se development hota ha wo sab poata ha but agar sirf padhai dekhi jaye tho kaise ha ha du

@@vishalchaudhary6837 its good but you have to put extra effort for historiography . But it will Complete your syllabus and restricted in a frame.Major Drawback is historiography is not comprehensively covered and I don't think any institution will do .go for it its good
