These are the only two books of his I ever heard of, and from descriptions of them elsewhere, neither sound like they are worth reading. His work sounds like the kind of stuff pushed by people with an agenda. Like John Updike-the garbage he spewed is unreadable but he was crowed over. The controversy over Styron is better known than his books. But publishing has always been a racket; Bennett Cerf was a criminal in plain sight running a huge scam on people, but he got rich from it, like all the other publishers who got rich from the work of others. Guess who was prominent in the publishing world. Same in Hollywood. Same today, the billionaires trying to take over the world with the help of the most depraved people on Earth: Bloomberg, Weinstein, Epstein, etc. Think about it folks. And find something better to read than Styron.
