Your taste in literature is both eclectic and admirable, reflecting a cosmopolitan predilection on your part. From Octavia Butler's prescient sci-fi novels to instances of classics rearing their heads: the poetry Charles Baudelaire (who I hear a lot about, but not familiar with his work) and Virgil's Aeneid. I have a copy of Fitzgerald's translation. Do get the translation that best works for you, yes, so true. Prose translations of poetry do come in handy when you just want to get the basic gist of a story, since verse to a reader unfamiliar with the craft of versification can get lost in the muddle, even turned off by the language. Oh wow thank you so much! Yeah, I love poetry, but don’t read it as much as I’d like. I’m hoping to change that this year. Thanks for subscribing!
