Against Worldview looks interesting. I agree having a coherent articulable worldview. I think is underappreciated. Would love to hear your thoughts about this book. If you think it’s worthwhile, I would probably pick it up.

Nobody's Mother was worth the purchase for chapter 1 alone! Her academic work after that opening salvo was quite the read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and think she does a great job framing the issue and then clearing up background stuff that helps Paul make more sense.

Stack of interesting books, thank you for sharing. Glad to see the one about leadership and disabilities, since I became a paraplegic church has become a faith testing issue.

Super interested in the theology of play. I am a play therapist by training. And have always appreciated the powers of play in helping children. I would love to hear your thoughts about this book.

I bought 'behind the scenes of the New Testament' last week and apart from some typo's and the cover I like it so far (I just read the first five essays or so). It sure looks very interesting. And yesterday I bought the NIV application commentary in one volume, so I'm very curious of what you think of those two. I was a bit in dubio about the word biblical theme volume, so... Maybe if you can convince me, I will buy that one too.

This was an excellent video! I was intrigued by A Theology of Play, the Upside Down Kingdom Study Bible, Nobody's Mother, Disarming Leviathan, What It Means to be a Protestant, and the Kregel books. Happy Thanksgiving, and go Dawgs tomorrow night! It is going to be a cold night at the game, but I am ready!

I'm most interested in Exploring the Old Testament in Asia and I imagine the essay on leadership, power and authority might be especially interesting as the legitimacy models for those concepts in Asia appear to be different than in "the west", although maybe the essay we should otherwise Hoping you make it to 50k!

Exciting! As a Prot I’m excited about the Ignatius Study Bible. I think the Church has been too divided for too long and I’m excited every time a C P or O makes moves towards the others like we don’t all hate each other. (Could be a positive witness to the world…hmm John 13 and 17 hmm hmm…)

I find your videos very valuable. I feel God pulling me back to Him. But unexpectedly, I feel he's drawing me towards the orthodox church. Please pray for us. My wife and I grew up knowing nothing about orthodoxy in baptist/evangelical/non denominational churches. We had turned away from God and Christianity, and my wife is still against it, while my heart is softened. She went through some traumatic experiences in the church and her abusive ex husband who used his views of Christianity and conspiracy theories against her.

@@jackripperson6260 Orthodoxy is beautiful in many ways. But Jesus can be found in other Christian traditions as well. Seek Jesus Himself and let Him guide you to a local community of those who love and follow Him. 🙏

Preston Sprinkle = Alarm bells. Here's an email I sent to my former church regarding his teaching materials. Sadly, it was ignored. I hope you will investigate it for yourself. This is ___, former member at ___. Every so often, I skim through the service videos on KZbin, just to get a glimpse of people here and there. In the September 15th sermon, about 14 minutes in, I was shocked to see an event promoted that features Preston Sprinkle. Preston Sprinkle has the organization, The Center for Faith, Sexuality & Gender. This includes a teaching series (for purchase) called Parenting LGBTQ Kids. It's confusing because in the FAQs they state some biblically correct positions on this issue. Yet if you watch the trailer you can see they have adopted the non-biblical view that this sin is an immutable identity or quality, something you're just born into or with, like eye/skin tone or ethnic background. Even just labeling the series "LGBTQ Kids" promotes this idea. To see this view regarding children is even more disturbing. I am sending this with the benefit of the doubt that perhaps ___ was not aware who he is and what he promotes. As Christians, we cannot support such things. Respectfully, [full name]

@@Yesica1993 Preston's work is solid and biblically orthodox. Meeting people where they are is exactly how Jesus approached sexual sin and sexual brokenness. Dismissing someone because they don't start with alienation is not the approach I embrace. DiscipleDojo's teachings on sexuality can be found at www.discipledojo.org/to-know I would encourage reading Wesley Hill's "Washed and Waiting" and David Bennett's "A War of Loves" for a better and more compassionate Biblically faithful approach.

@@DiscipleDojo I'd not heard of either book, so I did a quick search on the first one. This is from a review on the Living Out website: Washed and Waiting: A Review Sean Doherty Published 7th December 2020 Wesley Hill, Washed and Waiting: Reflections on Christian Faithfulness and Homosexuality (Zondervan: 2010) "Wesley Hill’s book Washed and Waiting is a refreshing, inspiring and humbling read. It is deeply refreshing because Wes writes from the perspective of a self-described ‘homosexual Christian’, who is convinced by the truth and goodness of the Christian teaching that sex is for marriage only." "Homosexual Christian" is not a term to be used by followers of Christ. We are adopting the worldly idea that homosexuality is something innate, like skin tone or eye color. That is not the biblical view. Thanks for making me aware of the books. I don't think there's any way to make my point any further. I didn't realize you held to this view.
