One of my favorite middle grade series is the Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer and it's a fairytale retelling series about twins who end up in the fairytale world through a book that their grandmother gave them. It's really amazing and original in my opinion.

I'm not sure if the series is considered middle grade or young adult, but I highly recommend the Kingdom Keepers series by Ridley Pearson! It's set in Disney World and it's about kids who turn into holograms at the parks when they fall asleep, and they battle the Disney villains who try to take over. Please check it out! I haven't seen any other Booktubers who've read it yet!

I love middle grade too! The suspension of disbelief in middle grade is so much higher. So amazing things can happen and we don't overanalyze it like we do in other genres.

I haven't read any of these, but have read Brandon Mull's book Candy Shop Wars, which was a lot of fun. If you haven't read it, I recommend The Sisters Grimm series by Michael Buckley. It's a bit like Once Upon a Time and some of the other fairy tale stuff that has come out recently, except it came out before a lot of them. It's about 2 sisters who find out they are descents of the Brothers Grimm and all the fairy tales are real and live in Ferryport Landing. There is an over arcing series plot that is super intriguing and all the characters are super lovable. :D

Hey sweetie :) one of my all time favorite middle grade series is the Charlie Bone series by Jenny Nimmo. If you like magic and mysteries, boarding schools, and family secrets you'll fall in love with this series! I believe there are 8 books to this series and I read them while waiting for Harry Potter books to be released back in the day and still read the series every couple of years and will start reading it to my son soon.

The school for good and evil is an amazing series and I'm literally so glad that you're picking it up! Honestly, I was surprised that it wasn't being talked about more on booktube. Also, for anyone who wants a middle grade recommendation, The Books of Beginning series by John Stephens is honestly amazing I have read it and reread it so many times despite my growing tbr pile. Garth Nix's Keys to the Kingdoms series is by far my favorite middle grade series. If you haven't read it yet I think you would love it based on what you've said you like. It has such a wonderful world created within it and each book takes you to a different kind of fantasy. I also really really enjoy The Immortal Secrets of Nicholas Flammel series by Michael Scott. It is such a wonderful adventure series and I really enjoy the magic system in it.

I really liked the Artemis Fowl series and I think it's middle grade. It was pretty dark at times so it may be right up your alley.

The middle grade series I'm starting on next is a part re-read/part new read - Skulduggery Pleasant by Derek Landy. I read the first three books years ago and loved them and I've got a whole stack of books in the series, which I'm looking forward to finishing.

You actually have my favorite middle grade series on your shelf. It's the Septimus-Heap-series by Angie Sage, the first one being Magyk (I think you have Flyte too) You neeeed to read it some time, it's lovely and cute and funny and magical!

my favourite middle grade series is The Unwanteds by Lisa Mc Mann , is about two brothers, one good and other evil, and of them discover an school of magic and art!! is a very good series, i read the first 4 and these are AMAZING!!! I´LL RECOMMEND YOU!!!

Brandon Mull is probably my favorite author. The Beyonders series is awesome! I read the first two in like a week and then I had to wait a year before the third came out. I bought the third the day it came out and read it in a couple of days.

One middle grade fantasy series I really like is The Dark Is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper. I read it in Swedish as a kid and in English as an adult :) One middle grade science fiction series that I found recently is The Tripods by John Christopher. Back in the 80s there was a sci-fi series on tv that I liked but nobody else remembers and last year I found out that it was based on this trilogy (+a stand-alone prequel). It was really fun to read :)

Two of my favorite Middle Grade series are the Alanna the Lioness Quartet and the Immortals Quartet both by Tamora Pierce. It feels so odd for me to all them "Middle Grade" even though that's what they are because they never felt like Middle Grade to me. The world is so well rounded, the characters are relate-able and likable (even the villains) and even though it has elements that have been repeated before (like the girl disguising herself as a boy etc.) it doesn't feel redundant in Tamora's writing. Definitely on of my favorite authors.

I've read the Keeper of the Lost Cities series and I personally loved it. It is just such a fun and interesting story. I've also read Beyonders. It was pretty good too. I personally read quite a few middle grade novels since they are just a lot of fun. Another series I enjoyed when I was younger was Dragon Slippers. It is pretty good and holds a special place in my heart since I have such good memories involving the book. I've also been wanting to read a lot of the series mentioned in this video too. I just haven't gotten around to it.

I'm going to give you some advise because I've read most of the books you showed and i love your channel. To begin I don't want to kill your mood but 'The school for good and evil a world without princes' is not as good as the first one. I really enjoyed the first one but the second one kind of made me not want to finish the series. But that is only my opinion, fairy tales aren't my thing so you might enjot it. Also YOU HAVE TO READ KEEPER OF THE LOST CITIES!!! I have read the whole series about seven tines now and i just love it more and more. It is by far my favorite middle grade fantasy series of all time! (Not counting Harry Potter because that wouldn't be fair) TEAM KEEFE!!😍😘🤓

I've never come across the 'Middle Grade' term before so had to look it up (thank you, Google). My main question is why an adult would be so interested in books aimed at pretty young children (12 years seems to be the crossover point to Young Adult). Authors guidelines for the genre don't suggest a very appealing read for adults: protagonists aged no more than 13, simple friendship and family based themes, action is primarily reactive with little exploration of motivation or character, no sexual or romantic content (obviously enough), no profanity or explicit violence and an upbeat ending.

Darren Shan books were always my go-to! I finished the vampire series around the age of 9 (although thats probs a bit young for these books). Then read the Demonata series in the years following, not sure if they class as middle grade but I read them around that age so ja, everyone go read them pls and ty
