Oh wow, small world! In 2020 we rescued a pregnant feral cat too! And while we don't have her still, we have 3 of her kittens. 😺🙀😸That's wild! We called ours Momo, just a play on moma cat lol 😹 We placed her in a barn cat program our neighbor was helping with since our rural area was overrun with feral cats prior to 2020. ~Caroline

What a coincidence!! I always love to hear stories about other people saving animals. It makes my heart happy! 💜 My mom found a really cool rescue to take Miette and drove three hours to get her settled there. They have someone who lives on site to care for the cats in large cat-safe, sheltered enclosures, and they all get regular veterinary care and vaccines. Then, any who they are able to socialize properly can be adopted out. I love that we each got three kittens, too!! That's crazy! 😻

@AubreyLikestoRead awww that's awesome! 🥰 I wish we knew more about where Momo lives. I'm hoping they love her and pet her. She was getting used to it from us, but still didn't quite understand it. She'd swipe at us when we reachedfor her, but never in a scared or aggressive way. It just confused her, the poor thing. It was more like she thought our hand should be food. And Flynn (one of her kittens we have, now 4 years old) does the same thing to us but with him it's usually to ask for attention lol 😆

@@WildMoonLacquer Poor Miette was just terrified. She'd trust us with the babies and ask for them back when she wanted them, but she just couldn't bring herself to let us touch her. I hope that both she and Momo are happy!! 💜🥰 One of her kittens, Marcel, is what I call a "nibbler". He doesn't try to hurt us - he'll gnaw gently on my fingers when he's excited, which doesn't hurt at all - but sometimes, when he can't get our attention (He can't really make noise and hasn't ever been able to.), he'll nip at an arm or leg or toe. He's such a sweet baby, though. 🥹

@AubreyLikestoRead aww that's so cute! Sounds like a sweet mama 😻 No talking huh? Sad what can happen with feral kitties genetically 😿 One of ours has a short kinked tail. And one of our other cats whispers a lot (another rescue. Found her behind a dumpster when she was 4 months old) but she can meow if she wants, usually when one of our bigger boys is pestering her 😾 She is older than the 3 "kittens", but smaller than even the little girl. Not sure if it wad because of her being on her own on the streets or if she would have been tiny anyways.

@@WildMoonLacquer Aww, little baby. 💜 Yeah, Marcel can make a little noise now that he's older, but he it's so quiet that you can barely hear it through a closed door. He's also super tiny, much smaller than his brothers. Then Ash has an immune disorder called eosinophilic granuloma that. Ezio, though, doesn't seem to have any physical disabilities or disorders, and from what we've heard from their new families, neither do their two sisters. They're all very happy babies, though!! 😊 All of our animals are rescues! We adopted our dog, Zella, 12 years ago from the Humane Society, and our other cat, Rekhyt, was abandoned as a kitten at the vet's office where I was interning while in undergrad.

I wish that I had the time to get through as many books as you have. Just work and writing my own book. One day I will have time again. Although I have a similar story to yours for The Fault in our Stars. Although for me it was Perks of Being a Wallflower. There was a girl that brought the book to my Algebra 2 class. And so I took it when class started and just read the entire book that class period. Was sitting front row in the center. Read it right in front of the teacher. Was interesting to read because I had never read anything besides fantasy at that point in my life.

It's so great when you get so immersed in a story that you can't stop reading, isn't it? Honestly, I wish that I had more to time to read, too. For the last few years, I've felt like I've been able to read so much less than I'm used to, but I think that most of us who love to read feel that way sometimes, so I have been trying to focus on enjoying my books and stress less over all that I haven't read yet (with varying degrees of success, haha!). Also, what sort of book are you writing? That's so exciting!!

@@AubreyLikestoRead I definitely have far more books that I haven't finished than I have. Same goes for movies, shows and games. (Though I am now working my way through every Final Fantasy game) There is just so much out there that I want to get through. I do have time in the car to listen to my books though. Listening to The Silmarillion right now. And the last books that I actually finished was when I reread the entirety of Naruto after I finished buying all the manga. And my book is going to be epic fantasy set in a pre-WW1 era world. I am so close to finishing it. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. I'm probably 50-70 days away from a finished first draft and I can't wait to finally finish a project I started. How many books are you able to get through now? Because at my pace I don't think I will finish one this year.

@@kevinhefley7287 That sounds like such a cool setup for a book! And it's so exciting that you've made so much progress! I'm so happy for you!! I'd love to hear more about it when you're done!! I understand completely. My tbr, tbw (to be watched), and tbp (to be played) lists are growing CONSTANTLY. I listen to either music or podcasts when I'm in the car, doing chores, etc., so no audiobooks for me. I've recently started listening to National Park After Dark from the beginning, which is fun (is that the right word for it?) (and morbid, very morbid). Love the Silmarillion, though!! 😊 Are you enjoying it so far? I'm not sure? I think I've read around forty books so far this year with at least half of those being manga. And I'm definitely not complaining about it; this year has definitely been better than the last few! I just get kind of down when I have so much to read and feel like I'm not making the kind of progress that I'd like to for reasons that are out of my control rather than because I'm choosing to do other things, if that makes sense.

@@AubreyLikestoRead I will do you one better. I would let you read the book if you want. And the only reason I am playing FF right now is because I want to play Kingdom Hearts. So I figured I might as well play every FF game and watch every Disney movie for each KH game. I also haven't watched Disney movies before either. I love the Silmarillion. Just listening to it again because it has been a while and I need a reminder on how to pronounce names. I first read the book as a kid and I had no idea what I was doing then. Lol. I love anything Tolkien and have 4 copies of the main books. Like any good Tolkien fan. I'm just lucky I get through what I do between working 6 days and writing my book. I managed to find time to rewatch The Wire recently in between all of that. Amazing show.

@@kevinhefley7287 Are you enjoying the Disney movies? I haven't seen all of the new ones, but I've always been a Disney fan! Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy are two game series that I would love to get into whenever I have the time. I would love to read your book once it's done! I am also a huge Tolkien fan! He is one of my favorite authors of all time!!
