I recently found your channel . The best thing I found consistent in all your recommendation videos is that you always bring out so many hidden gems instead of simply ranting about the most famous ones. Thank you... Added so many books to my tbr after watching your videos. ❤

The book of stories of Edgar Allan Poe illustrated by Satty was some of the best artwork for Poe’s short stories.

I just read Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for the first time in July and I was so surprised! It was fantastic and so different than I expected!

Hi, Kailey. Luke here. You have some great recommendations especially those of Doyle, Tolkien, Twain, and Wells. I guess I would also add any of the stories from the Arabian Nights, the ghost stories of M. R. James as well as Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu, Beowulf, and several short stories/novellas by Robert Louis Stevenson including “The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”. Thanks for sharing!

They probably don't meet the criteria, but a few of my favorite short stories: - The Country of the Blind (H. G. Wells) - The Adventure of the Copper Beeches (Arthur Conan Doyle) - To Build a Fire (Jack London) - The Ransom of Red Chief (O. Henry) - The Little Mermaid (Hans Christian Andersen) - Flowers for Algernon (Daniel Keyes) - So Much Unfairness of Things (C. D. B. Bryan)

Yes! Those are some really good ones! I haven’t read Country of the Blind or So Much Unfairness of Things. I’ll have to put those on my list for the readathon next year!

I keep forgetting that I own The Light Princess on Kindle so I will definitely read that one this month for the challenge. A play/short story that I recommend is A Jury of Her Peers by Susan Glaspell. She wrote it as both a play and a short story, but the play is called Trifles.

I can't wait to hear what you think of The Light Princess!

P. G. Wodehouse has a lot of Jeeves and Wooster short stories. I have a volume of Poirot short stories (lots of the Poirot TV series are actually based on the short stories) and I think I have a Rosamunde Pilcher collection of short stories.

I'm going to be reading a whole bunch of Agatha Christie short stories in September! I'll be talking about them in my TBR video. I didn't know there were Jeeves short stories! I really should read more Jeeves. He always makes me laugh!
