Hey Benji! Regarding the reflective glass, all you need to invest in is a polarizing filter for your camera lens and just simply rotate it until you notice the reflection disappear. :)

Hey Benji, here r a few tips to avoid reflection on terrariums. 1. Get a matte black foam board, cut a hole of a size that your camera lense can poke through. With this method you would be able to shoot closer without your reflection. 2. Leave your terrariums in darker surroundings, and observe where the reflection comes from. For instance 4:12 put a black cloth on the table and leave the tank in the middle.

I like your white red bowl that you used to put the moss in. Reminds me of my childhood memories. I lived in Vietnam during the time and it was the 90s - Y2K :). I remember eating instant noodles out of bowls like this after school waiting for after-school classes :) :) :)

Being a book reader and a plant lover. You should def do a book tour. Maybe give me some recommendations? I started out with fantasy too but kind of feel out of love for them. And I see all those Inuyasha mangas. lol

Very nice terrarium, it’s cool that it fits so well. Because there is gaps and moss require high humidity, make sure that the wood is protected because it can bend as the time goes on.

00:00 📚 Benji is assembling a bookshelf moss terrarium, inspired by an Instagram account. 01:32 🌱 Benji plans to create Rolling Hills in the terrarium using rocks and charcoal as a base layer. 03:42 💡 Benji uses reptis soil for the terrarium to avoid mold issues, preparing it before adding to the terrarium. 06:01 🎨 Benji adds soil to the terrarium, focusing on creating slopes and shapes for depth. 08:00 🏞 Benji aims to create a focal point in the terrarium to enhance visual interest. 10:17 🌿 Benji adds Pearl Moss, cut into smaller pieces, to cover the soil, expecting it to grow over time. 11:39 🪰 Benji introduces springtails into the terrarium to prevent mold growth. 12:13 🔌 Benji sets up a grow light and adds a lid with a small gap for air exchange to the terrarium. 13:32 🌌 Benji anticipates the terrarium to flourish over time, especially at night with illuminated effects.

You need a polarising filter on the lens - try linear or circular to cut reflections. Also intensifies the colours - especially light greens.

Hi, love your content. I have a plant I'd recommend for these kinds of projects I never see anyone on KZbin use, which is a real shame. Utricularia/Bladderwort stays really small and covers the ground like moss, but it also blooms and forms these awesome and constant carpets of flowers. Look into Utricularia sandersonii and pubescens especially. Their flowers and leaves are really tiny and look like small bunnies/faeries :D

hi benji ! happy holidays :) about the reflects from the glass problem : i would suggest you look up "pola filters" (they are polarising filters that you mount on your camera lens) they could be worth the investment if you want to film aquarium videos without reflecttions :) 🐠 hope this helps ! 8:30

I loved this video, thanks for posting! I used it to guide building a similar terrarium, and found it really helpful. Question for you about the light you use…do you know which brightness you have it set at most of the day? I’m about 3 weeks into my tank and not noticing much new growth, and wondering if the light is too intense.
