Keep reading on in Addicted, the series gets better and the relationship (esp Lo/Lily) develop really well. I think the other couples in the core 6 (and their development) also lend itself to making the series what it is (which is FANTASTIC). I think once you get past the first 2 books, the series really picks up. Bummed you werent a fan of Once Upon a Broken Heart, love that series!!! Excited to read powerless!

I also read Powerless and Addicted to You becasuse of Sara and Larry. I felt the same as you and gave the same ratings for both lol From now on any books you recommend I'm going to trust your judgement on as we seem to have the same taste when it comes to books! Hey Ellen! I love your little library! It's soooo cute! I have a little haunted house that I put out every Halloween. I know what you mean about Once Upon a Broken Heart but I just found it kinda fun and quirky. It was a quick read and sort of a palate cleanser between longer, heavier books. I will read the second one as I already have it but not sure about the third as some of the reviews have not been so good. Nice to see Pep! What do you feed him? (just curious) 😋

Hey Anna!! i know what you mean - it was definitely a quick book that nicely split up the other books i was reading. i’m still so undecided if i’m going to continue with the series!! i feel like i will at least give the second book a go as i own it, but i’ve also heard not so great things about the third book, so not sure about that one. i feed Pep live crickets!! it defo grossed me out for the first few weeks, but i also have a pet gecko who eats the same, so you kinda get used to it!

Can't wait to read powerless, but I'm so scared I won't like it. Finger crossed that I do. I totally understand your conviction with the Once Upon a Broken Heart Triology. I was bored for the entire for half of the first book and then it picked up for me so I gave it four stars. Gave the second 3.75 and the third one 4.25. I feel like if you're really curious you should give it a go, but in my opinion you're not missing out on much if you don't read them. As for the Addicted series, I personally stopped at book four ("Kiss the Sky"). I really didn't enjoy it and it made me never want to continue the series ever again. You're right they are very unlikeable. I feel like this book series is good to the people who love the characters and the drama that goes into them.

i really hope you love powerless!! i feel like it's one of those books that is hard to hate, as it's so easy to read and has an enjoyable plot. glad you agree with some of my feelings about once upon a broken heart, think i'll try the next book but it's definitely not top of my TBR. i'm also going to continue the addicted series, but i'm worried i wont like them if the characters stay unlikeable!!

You’re the first person I’ve seen with this opinion of once upon a broken heart, I felt like I was the only one! I didn’t really understand the hype either and felt like it was kind of all over the place with no reason for the plot 👀 I feel like you’ve gotta just read through to addicted for now and then I think you’ll like the series more ❤
