I gave them the idea of a blue flare 12 years ago. When you could actually talk directly to Supercell through the app in settings. They didn’t like being so easily accessible so you can’t do that anymore. I told them add a blue flare that when you pressed once, you could highlight the boats you wanted to respond to it, then press it again to send those boats there. They told me it wasn’t applicable. Who would want to put actual strategy tactics into a strategic game? They don’t even know what the word sabotage means. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing Random about sabotaging something. So I guess they decided to use my second flare idea and this is how they used that idea? 1 boat? Ridiculous! Many reasons I can’t stand the slo, mo Ron’s at Supercell!

Better than 16 maxed scorchers? No way, these are all toys for low level players. Oh now he says just that. On the other hand, in warships names heavies are often the go to troop.

@@philrees1779 currently I am hovering around 1100-1200 VPs, almost 60% of the bases I clear with just Bullit. Offcourse I am boosted while doing that as I usually clear bases when I boost for Operation attack. With Zooka Fan I am pretty sure I will clear almost 90-95% of the bases going forward.

Looks like low level addition to the game, the only time I ever use heavies is boom pass “heavy only” attacks, so this is no benefit to me.

Yes, I agree. I believe it is catered more to lower level players with only Heavy being available for Squad Leaders. Once other troop Squad Leaders are introduced. I think it will be more enticing for higher level players.

I imagine meatshield will be incredibly good for high level ops. An indiviudally controlled flank is going to be very strong.

Imagine getting 1 heavy with meatshield and 7 zookas flared into position by core and then moving meatshield off to the side to save several shocks. Or on a hot shore using meatshield to block everything on shore while zookas are safely flared elsewhere.

This is an excellent addition that really excites me and opens up a lot of perspectives, especially for other "troop leaders" I imagine several concepts for the bombers but also the zooka and why not the laser rangers 🤩 Also the visuals, mamamia, J'ADORE 🤣 I still wonder how the event will be organized in relation to the prototroop weeks. I love this concept/idea. The application of Squad Leaders for Heavy only at the moment makes me believe it is catered to lower level players to give them a boost. I'm looking forward to other troop Squad Leaders. Like Warriors, Bombardier, Zooka, Scorcher. Troops I actually use. It's crazy the amount of love Boom Beach has been receiving.

Didn't follow you re the flares - is it a one off when they land and other troops ignore them?

If the main flare is active and Squad Leader Flare is active, the squad will follow the squad flare. If reversed and squad flare was thrown first, then main flare they will follow main flare. Whatever flare is thrown last will have priority. It looks like they ignored the sqaud flare 😅🤔

Engravings are. Wierdly over complicated. Feel like the whole mess around brawlstar original gears. But this. This sounds cool. Hopefully they will be able to have their ow skin. Even if it's just a head gear and weapon remodel.

I wanted to see a skin for the represented Squad Leaders on the landing craft and battlefield. That would have looked better. Engravings are interesting and have their benefits for players. I was using the sabotage, armor, and leech engraver during mega crab. Swapping between them.

Despite Comming so late in the process. Like coc équipements. But they come at Th8.not th 16. So you have time to upgrade them overtime.

So one boat has a squad leader, can you do 4 boats of one squad..or is it only one boat per 8 you can do.. As in if I wanted 1 boat of the mine sweeper, 3 boats of the tank one.. and then let’s say 4 boats of zookas.. or in 8 boats I can only use a squad leader only once?

You can only use each squad leader once per loadout. But you can use all 3 in a single loadout if you want.
