What a legend!!! My wife and I had the privilege to see them live several times, and it was always an EXPERIENCE to remember. RIP Kawashima-san, and I have nothing but respect to Nakano-san and all the people involved in BBS...

The most amazing live drums of all time in this video. Who knew a human could replicate the crushing BBS album drum style. And such an intense song. A fan since '98. I so regret missing their 2010 US tour stop in Cambridge, MA. And I miss their unique sound. RIP Michiyuki Kawashima.

SAME! I missed my 1st only chance to see them live at a in Store live session in 05 during WMC on south beach Miami.FL! 😪
I love when both are playing the base/guitar, like two samurai are facing with sword.

I was introduced to this band some years after Michiyuki Kawashima's death when I was introduced to the Ridge Racer series (specifically Ridge Racer V where Namco was able to use "Fogbound" and "On the Painted Desert (Vocal Mix Feat. Dice)"). All I can say is that I wish I knew about them sooner because the Boom Boom Satellites are now probably my favorite music group ever. I could only dream of what it was like to see them live... But hey, that's where THE SPELLBOUND comes in, right?
I am so sad that I discovered them now when I can never experience this live performance in person ever. This song instantly put them up on my list of bands I would have paid a ridiculous amount of money to travel and see live.

There's a hole in my soul where these guys used to live. I guess the only way to fill it is to start making music myself.

This is my new favorite song/band. I've listened to this thing over and over again for 3 solid days now. These guys are AMAZING. And Yoko Fukuda? So THAT's what a Jedi looks like when she takes up percussion. :D

It's absolutely heartbreaking looking back at this now. I loved Kawashima-san's style so much. But I'm glad Nakano-san has continued with The Spellbound.

Michiyuki Kawashima will always be my hero. He was a true fighter till the very end. Now we will have to try and be as brave as he was.
