I love a good LBX boat. We were having trouble finding games, so me and three of my buddies just did some 2v2s in lobby. We had an all dual-LB20 Catapult C2/K2 game (that C2 is one of my favorites lately). I also got to take out my dual LB20 dual Snubby PPC Corsair 6R (a build I got from the b33f), and the LB60 Annihilator, which is a hilarious meme machine and king of the HPG basement. Also, I am not sure about the game automatically stopping one's overheat after the match. The first time I took out my 8x srm6 Huntsman (which was also the best and most successful time I took it out) I snuck around behind the enemy, and got six fairly quick kills and racked up enough heat so that, after I pushed myself well past the limit and killed the last enemy, we had to wait a significant amount of time before the game could finish applying damage to me to see if I was *also* going to die before it would declare us victors. It was a good time.

Don't forget the WHM-6R with 2xLB20X, and I like my WHM-IIC-MAUL with 2xLB20X + MPL's. And of course the ol' HBK-IIC 2xLB20X too!

I think the Madcat MkII has a variant with LBX buffs; dont think it has as many energy points, maybe some missile points. i def know i have it set up that way. love the double boom stick when you get the good positioning!

I like the Deathstrike with dual ultra 10, 4 er med, and a 400 engine for surprising speed.

I like the LB20s but prefer chain fired SSRM 6s as my secondary. That way you can press and hold both mouse buttons and do a quick extended alpha strike for 52 damage followed by 36 more in a second, all of it projectiles with crit potential. All this with around 400m range.

I run my Deathstrike with 2x LBX20 and 6x MPULSE. This requires a smaller engine though. With this 'mech, I find I do a ton of damage but I don't live through the round. I still have much to learn about Assault gameplay.

Haven't read the Battletech novels, but due to boredom and curiosity, I've looked up some lore regarding that universe. Noticed your Diamond Shark(?) warhorn and was wondering if you had a preference for forces of the Inner Sphere and Clans. For the former, I favor the Federated Suns and to a lesser degree the Lyran Commonwealth; for the latter I'm partial to the Diamond Sharks (or Sea Foxes), Clan Wolf-in-Exile and the wronged Clan Wolverine. Also, do you run any builds with all 3 categories of weapon (or even support if that's counted separately) you like? Also, do you think the "bunny ears" should be counted as a seperate group for armor and structure in a future edition or spiritual successor to MWO? Seems cheap that the silhouette of some mechs can be exploited to such devastating effect when they're supposed to shrug off damage better than conventional ground vehicles.

With clan lasers the laser duration is a most have in my opinion, but i understand the point of ignoing it when the lasers are just backup weaponry.

I tried this build actually some time ago, but i found it underwhelming on average,at least for me, so i went 2 uac10 6 med pulses. I also tried 2 lbx20 4 med pulses on the kdk-3 but i surrendered to both the cult of 4 gauss rifles or 4 lbx10

Have you every tried a 6 AC5 Mauler? I honestly like it better than the 6 AC5 Annihilator. Another "hotter" alternative is 2 RAC5s 3 AC5s.
