When you say to "Take care of the motor mounts", are you referring to replacing the original cheapo motor mount nuts and bolts with, say, grade 8 ones, or?

yes absolutely. I replaced mine with ARP studs and built a 3rd motor mount

yo what did you do for ur clutch?? Was that weld on the clutch cable? I’m struggling w the clutch adjustment on this bike

I broke the piece at the bottom that the clutch cable goes to so I JB welded it, if that's what you're referring to. Swapped out the original cable with a grom one. Adjust it from the bottom first then do the fine adjustment from the clutch lever

What makes those ARP studs more effective against vibration? Seeing lots of mentions online about drilling out the mounts to 3/8" and using new bolts.

@@bryanhammons5221 I used the ARP bolts for strength. ultimately 3/8" will be better but for me, ARP bolts + 3rd motor mount is all you need for vibration issues

Funny you say that. A Grom is 4 times the price and you still do upgrades. Even with his bike and upgrades it's still cheaper than a used Grom. Plus I bet he would feel pretty salty wrecking a Grom.
