Could you use less guns by eliminating the ones along the border of the field since they turn 360 degrees? By doing so 12 instead of 24 could be used per 20 acres. Also, you are using the Nelson 100. The Nelson 250 advertises a 360' range. Lets say you want some overlap and you want to account for windy days then assume 300' range. This is twice the range of the guns in the video. Therefore, 6 guns should cover the 20 acres, 12 per 40 acres, 18 per 60 acres, 24 per 80 acres and 30 per 100 acres and 60 per 200 acres. If each gun is permanently installed in the ground and the pipe run 3' deep to each gun and a well that could power 2 guns at a time then you would have a system with a fraction of the repair and maintenance cost per year than a pivot. Tell me where I am wrong hear please.
