WOW! Now, that was a battle of all battles! Better than the Bayou Classic. This battle was more intense, and neither band wanted to give up. I truly enjoyed every second of it. Both bands started battling hard in the beginning. That set the tone. It was AMAZING! Southern ended it strong by playing "Hustler Musik". Man that song cold as phuck! SU and JSU, definitely the top 2 SWAC bands IMO. Both bands Rock!

The LEGENDARY "BoomBox" classic BOTB 2014 was a historic battle IMO! JSU and SU both were out for blood! Both bands started out playing, at the same time, and they went straight "HAM" @0:23:00 mark. Simply AMAZING! WHAT AN EPIC BATTLE!!!!

First, I wanna say GOOD JOB to BOTH bands and directors for an outstanding session of rivalry crankage. Secondly, the Dancing Dolls of Southern University looks absolutely astonishing in those cheetah/jaguar outfits, and in comparison to the Prancing J-Settes (forgive me if I misspelled), the Dancing Dolls look better because of the overall decorum. Lastly, my favorite song of the entire battle was played by Southern. I don't know the name of the tune but it starts around 1:15:08 in the clip. I like the arrangement, but I love the intensity that the Jukebox puts into the piece.

I grew up loving Alcorn SOD. JSU "Sonic Boom" has become my favorite but if I needed to go into a game, parade, or BOTB with any HBCU it's got to be the Human Jukebox they are just stronger than everyone else. The sound is so clear and powerful.

To me personally, I'm from scotlandville and I'm going to judge this contest fairly: Both bands sounds great both their is only one winner and it's Southern. Reason being is that they played their music with more passion and confidence. Clarity, I give it up to the SU because every instrument had their solo opportunity to show that the smallest of the sounds is what counts. SU played those songs closet to the vocals of the artist they played the song for. Also, at times they were getting props from the home fans. Southern dancing dolls were very beautiful, and classy just need a little bit more of themselves because they were just a little stiff. BUT NICE THO....JSU: I would consider them second best at this moment because of some song selections..it's ok to get Crunk but they didn't focus on their craft a little bit more. . They were focus on outmatching SU with more range..Some songs they were spot on..just hit and miss ever so often, J-setts Absolutely Spectacular dress down to match the cause. ... A+ for them...Their moves definitely made up for the band short comings...Overall all these musicians did great. ..Song collaboration was historical. .always rivals for life. ..No Hate to JSU first game I've been to on Da Yard '93..Sitting right next to the Sonic Boom of The South...Hate/Love relationship but when it all boils down we will always love first. .One Scotland SU my hometown ambassadors makes us Proud in spite the negativity we face in Black communities. .Jsu (repek)
