I'm just now noticing how the made the returning enemies from spyros adventure much bigger in giants to give the illusion that you might need to get the giants figures to even out the playing field, its such a small unnoticeable detail that's actually pretty clever for marketing the bigger figures

Well, time to learn how to file-swap. But seriously, this video was incredible. The pace didn't seem weird to me and the editing was surely on point. Well made. Also damn the nostalgia of Trap Team crashing in Telescope Tower, god it brings back. I kinda wanna go and record some Trap Team crashes now, to remind me of that time lol. (The wii u version is better to play though so thank you for you vid on the code. Wouldn't have redeemed it if not for that video. (The thing said it was valid until 2017 so like...) ) Also all this makes me think that maybe, with file-swapping and writing your own code, it could be possible to create unique skylanders. call me crazy, but when i found out about sniper for the first time, i thought he might be part of a side campaign where, instead of fighting against kaos, you instead stop the skylanders, essentially playing the villains instead of the heroes. i dont see any real evidence to back this up, its just a theory i had upon first hearing about sniper. great video though!

I go back and forth on Giants and Spyro's Adventure. on the one hand I like the story and new skylanders added in Giants, but the elemental theming, hubworld progression and improvements, and how every element was seemingly tied together with their own piece to add to the core of light, it felt "magical" for a lack of a better term

I hope if we get another Skylanders game, he gets included some day. I love when scrapped stuff in games gets used in later games in some way. And honestly he seems like a kinda neat character. Someone who’s slower but does insane damage at a distance, with attacks that shove things back or do lower damage when up close, who’s more built around holding ground than being on the move. It wouldn’t be a horrible thing to try and lean into with him

I will say imaginators due to its peak story telling and character development Or swap force because of nostalgia Edit: imaginators also feels like a natural conclusion to the franchise in terms of design The entire series has had themes of imagination. I feel like imaginators expands on that theme of imagination in the most literal way possible and feels like a natural conclusion. I also don't think that another skylanders game could exist after imaginators

Am super late but I might have a theory of why sniper troll was made. So here’s some Skylanders trivia here: apparently there were plans to add more Spyro characters like hunter however they scrapped him in favor for Shroom Boom. And Sniper troll shares the same file name as Shroom Boom like you said. So basically Sniper Troll was going to be hunter but they use a Troll as a placeholder. As for why he was scrapped? Well it was because of the hate they received back then. And as unfortunate as that sounds am kinda glad they did in favor of something original. And for him being left in the files? The devs were close to hitting the deadline and so kinda forgot him.

Being able to control the sniper in the bush while moving would be a cool late upgrade. Like, Sniper would deploy a dummy when he gets hit that he can control at will. To balance it out, the dummy in the bush would be destroyed in like 5 hits.
