I think this happens because when you know multiple languages, sometimes the words in English comes more easily to mind than the Hindi one, sort of like how the simpler of two synonymous words might come to mind first. For example, the phrase "blown away" comes to mind easier than the word "flabbergasted". I imagine it's the same for the Japanese.

hindi is a phonetic language, just like english. but japanese is a syllabic language, which is the real reason why it doesn't have japanese words for some english words, it can substitute it with katakana but its very confusing and rude to use katakana and hiragana interchangeably in the same sentence, katakana is supposed to be a loose fill-in for english words, while hiragana is the main language (kanji is not so much a language as it is a formalization).

As for the linguistics of them using some words that are English words. There are some words that were never actually a part of the Japanese language before the concept was introduced to them. For example, hamburger is hamburger in Japanese. Just like hamburgers, hamburger and English even though it's actually a German concept. You will also find that there are some German and English concepts that they add as German and English because they like the flavor of it. A lot of the things behind Pandora's actor in overlord are an example of this. Actually there are tons of concepts of this in overlord Alberto's name being a concept from European alchemy. Demi urges name being a concept of the devil from a religion called gnosticism. There is also just a factor. Sometimes that it just sounds cool that way to them. As a side note, a stampede is more of American thing than a Japanese thing? America hurted cattle on large scales and move them from one point to another. Japan is mountainous and doesn't have as much flatland to make a stampede as likely of an occurrence.

Who's Alberto in Overlord? If you mean Albedo, that's not from alchemy, that's a latin word that means "whiteness", from Albus, "white". Also, Gnosticism wasn't a religion, it was a philosophical movement, and Demiurgos (meaning "public worker" in ancient greek) wasn't a devil or a demon, it was a divine concept, the "creator of the universe" in a sense, but contrary to the christian god, he doesn't create from nothing, he creates bringing order to chaos. I suggest you review your sources before spreading misinformation. The part about Japan adopting foreign words for concepts or objects they're not familiar with is correct, and that happens in every other language, including english, after all the words "pianoforte", all the musical words like "fortissimo" and "soprano", culinary words like "pasta" and "pizza", are all in Italian.

Gnosticism is in fact related to a heretical movement of the 2nd century Christian church. Your understanding of demiurgos is also slightly skewed, but close. It wasn't exactly a public worker but an artisan. Demurige was also the creator deity of the gnostics so kinda funny you called them a philosophical movement but correctly attributed one of their deities.

@@Moribax85 I meant albedo and yes it does come from alchemy. Her creator was obsessed with alchemy and in alchemy there are three basic states, negredo albedo and rubido. They are the three states that create alchemy itself tabula their creator was obsessed with three things The occult horror and gap moe. Albedo has a sister named negredo who was mentioned in passing as being one of the individuals that was in house arrest because she had the children. Albedo and her sister were named after two of the alchemical states not to mention their creator tabula smergdina ( pretty sure I didn't spell the second bark correctly) has a name that literally translates to emerald tablet which is a reference to the mythical emerald tablet in alchemy that supposedly has all the secrets of alchemy on it. So yes, albedo's name is very deeply connected to alchemy.

Technically it was a cult that was an offshoot of early Christianity In narcissism, they believed that all physical matter was evil. The demiurge was basically the embodiment of all physical matter. As such from their basic setup, he was their version of the devil. Narcissism broke up into two different branches. One believing that since matter is intrinsically evil, you must obtain from any kind of carnal pleasure. They died out because they never had babies. The other one thinking that since the body is inherently evil, it doesn't matter what you do with it. They became pleasure seekers. Demiurge according to their beliefs also had another name jaldabaoth as a side note, they were mystics back in the day that thought that demons could not use a name other than their own or else cease to exist. They were that tied to their name, The anime give a nod to this idea when they had Demi urge use his other name instead of using one that is not his name. So yes I have done some research. Yes, I know what I'm talking about for these concepts. Please forgive me for simplifying some of the concepts instead of as you seem to necessitate giving an exhaustive explanation of the concepts and their origin. As for the concepts of linguistics that I stated before, I was directly answering a question that was posed. I am well aware of how languages work.

"Robot" is not an English word - it originates from an appropiation of a slavic word "robota" which means "work/labor" it was used by a czech writer to describe an automaton in 1920 and now we all use the word robot in that manner. Diablo would crush Benimaru though. I don't even think it would be much of a match. Otherwise Benimaru is probably Rimuru's strongest retainer, I'd say it's a tossup between Shoei and Hakuro(I'd personally give Hakuro the edge though), then Shion and then Shuna. Although Shuna's magic power and knowledge makes her a dark horse in any match she finds herself in. She's just pretty fragile compared to the rest and probably wouldn't be able to beat opponents that are good at closing the distance and fighting at close range. The rest of the Ogres are pretty versatile or just straight up powerhouses. They're overall less dependent on specific match-ups. I'd put Geld and Gabiru on similar playing fields and finally Gobta is currently not all that strong compared to all the others but he has incredible potential. Veldora is probably stronger than Rimuru so I'm not even counting him. This is just what I think I've understood about the power levels and fighting ability of Rimuru's retainers. They're all damn impressive and I don't think any Demon Lord has such an overabundance of powerful military assets as Rimuru does. It's just not fair.

In terms of strength within Tempest right now Veldora is the strongest, then Rimuru, then Diablo, from there it's the ogres (exact order would vary depending on what particular skill set you're looking for but Benimaru, Shion and Hakuro are the considered the top 3 among them), then dragonnewts, then orcs then goblins

Yes, from what I’ve heard, about 30% of modern Japanese conversation will be in English cuz some words are far more tedious to say in Japanese than English. An example they used in the same video that mentioned that 30%, they said that the Japanese equivalent of the word “Escalator” is something like “electrical semi-vertical stairs”. Now I don’t remember the exact translation cuz it’s been awhile but I know it was long and tedious like that. They asked Japanese ppl on the street in Japan how to say Escalator and other English words in Japanese and the vast majority of ppl only knew the English version, because the Japanese versions are old/complicated

A funfact to remember is that the word "Japan" isnt even a japanese word, its an english word. The country's real name is Nippongo/Nihongo. Katakana might be able to write english words in japanese due to its wider syllable-base, but mixing katakana and hiragana together is very wrong and confusing. Hint: Katakana is used to support english syllables, mainly to borrow english words into japanese literature. Hiragana is the the casual/informal representation of the japanese language, for everyday use. Kanji is the formal representation of the japanese language, for titles, headers, signatures, and sometimes names.

Regarding something you were wondering about in the video and few more interesting details. Not a spoiler, unless you count skills he already has, since the beginning and which are now stronger, that haven't been mentioned yet I believe, a spoiler (the anime leaves out many very important details for no real reason): The way the show portrays it you would think so, but in actuality, Rimuru and Raphael communicate 1.000.000 times faster than... thought, I think. Before he became a True Demon Lord that number was "only" 1000. On top of this ability, he has a skill called [Parallel Processing] allowing him to have two thought processes simultaneously but seperately. He can essentially work on two problems at the same time. Shion's 100 - Yomigaeri are a special unit the anime seems to have forgotten. I won't spoil why, unless someone asks. Pirone and another underling of Clayman died during Rimuru's attack on the army as easily as all other soldiers. Between Shion and Diablo is a rather giant gap in favor of Diablo. The bald guy's bulging head might be a reference to Hunter x Hunter's Chimera Ant Arc when the "octopus" did the thing...

lots of concepts that were inexistent in japanese were introduced from the english language... it is written using katakana in japanese... some of the concepts did not necessarily become part of the language for not existing but because they were easier, simpler or sounded cooler... Examples the word computer (konpyutaa), OK, pan (spanish for bread), arbaito (german for work/jobe arbaitet). English has the same for a lot of words, Ciao, a cappella, coup de'tat, same concept but since japan was a closed off country until a century ago, LOTS of new concepts were introduced...

I always heard it was because they don't have a direct translation for that particular word in that sense. For example, in the Tokyo Ghoul theme, they say the words freeze and paradise in English because the words they would use for those words would not match the definition of the intended meaning. So, therefore, they say the word that is closest.

There's two main reasons why they sometimes use English in Japanese shows, one reason is some words and phrases have become common in Katakana form in Japan(most are direct, but an unusual one I like is "bendy" which means convenient in Japanese), and the other one is simply that many Japanese people think English sounds cool.

I mean, i feel like using English mixed with the native language is somewhat common. I mean, we do it in our country too. Sometimes, there's not a direct translation, but sometimes, saying it in English is much easier. There are some words on my native language that I practically never use because I just use it's English translation. Also, sometimes, English makes it sound cooler. Like instead of saying "Sekai!", You could say "Za Warudo!!".

They never said this in the anime, but in the manga and LN/WN the Yomigaeri were insanely powerful because when they were revived with the Secret Art of Resurrection, they were all gifted with an intrinsic ultimate class skill (cannot be overriden by an Ultimate Skill like Lustful King Asmodeus) known as "Perfect Memory" which preserves their life force, astral form, and physical form, in a protected version of a soul core with the basis of the magic etched into its center, even shattering the core itself is pointless since it can restore itself, this skill allows for any individual with the skill to be capable of perfect automated self-resurrection with zero chance of losing the soul to an enemy harvest festival. Its a powerful skill that even hard-counters the absolute dominion over life and death.

For anyone who hasn't read this yet, *SPOLER ALERT SEASON 2.* I should also add that in the manga & LN/WN the necklace controlling milim is actually doing its job, milim had to lower her crazy powerful resistances to virtually zero and deactivate her Automatic Threat Response & Counter-attacking Berserk Skill Circuit known as "Stampede" just to allow the bracelet to have a fraction of control over her, and its more like suggestive control than the total puppet domination it was supposed to have. Imagine how crazy powerful Milim has to be to have to nerf herself to the floor just to keep the necklace from shattering under her natural ambient aura (similar to conquerors haki and demon lords haki but just releasing it shatters anything that isnt made of magisteel, mythril, or orichalcum.) @@Kelibarth SPOILERS In order to imate the effect of it working she had to remove all of her defences and i am not sure about the peppers thing. As for Frey stopping Clayman, Stampede activates once she has received x amount of damage. I'd assume that the amount of damage she has to receive is quite high, but better safe then sorry you know.

Why wonder whos stronger read the WN specifically the WN it has a tourney arc where Rimuru's Leader types have fights against one another to settle the pecking order (technically it was labeled as something else I forget but my impression was pecking order) Lets just Say Gobuta beat a few people he should not have. I simply forget which section of story the tourney happens in. If lucky then S3 covers this tourney or maybe S4. It was cut from the LN and mocked in the same LN as something to WN or Anime to happen in the LN... so my hope exists; its been 5ish years and many series since I read it myself so I forget all the results and match ups... but I am pretty sure a Shion vs Diablo was in it. So my vote is bias and may be misremembered but I think Shion won barely because Master Chef is absolutely unfair combined with her other skills.

There are real reasons Treyni does lil in the anime... technically she pops up way late in the source and around this point to show that Dryads are powerful monsters and has minimum story relivence outside of that. But no its anime so release the hotties is like a prime directive. As eye candy to some her purpose is served. I prefer Shion and her sister(?) with pink hair whose name never sticks in my head. Anyhow I was surprised seeing her show up so lil when I first read the story because I had seen S1 and read the manga a bit further but the first time through the WN that I completed I kept waiting for her and it took forever. Dryads have no real physical form that can long distance travel in any real speed and a max range is attached to the shadow clone like bits we see in the anime. Its explained at first meeting but not very clearly. Not sure if anime did explain or not.

Haven't read the original source yet; however, I personally viewed the Dryads as the manager/overseer of the Jura Forest since 1. they were saved by Veldora and 2. Until S2 of the anime, Veldora was either sealed within the cave, unable to actually do anything aside from releasing magicules and keeping monsters in place via fear factor, or inside Rimuru's stomach. In my opinion, they're the eyes and ears of the forest so they do their job off screen, and only contact Rimuru when they believe they require his help for a certain issue/task ie) after Veldora's child awakened with Phobio as the vessel (forgot how to spell the monster's name). Also, not sure if Shion and Shuna (pink haired Ogre Princess) are sisters, but Shuna and Benimaru are definitely siblings if my memory still works properly.

Do you know the amount of non English words you are using on a daily basis while speaking English. Just the ones coming to my mind are : bouquet, fiancé, bureau, coup d' état, petite. And those are only a small sample of French words.
