Alright, here's the thing with Carrot Boom, spoiler free, of course. When Zou and Whole Cake were airing, Carrot was EXTREMELY popular to the point she was Top 10 in most of the official Character Polls. She was loved by pretty much everyone, and everyone wanted her to become a Straw Hat. What changed for Carrot, though, was the Wano arc and the introduction of a new character that instantly became a fan favorite too. The fandom's obsession with that new character caused everyone to turn on Carrot, as she was now an obstacle for the new character to potentially become a Straw Hat because the fandom had it in their mind that there could only be 1.

I don't think people really dislike her for who she is, but for her addition as a Strawhat. Every other member that had joined had to go through some ordeal, had some history or past connections, or filled a mandatory role within the crew. Carrot just seemed like a tag along to fill just another fighter role in the group. I like Carrot and don't mind her as a Strawhat, but I kinda get why other people wouldn't want her as one.

To be fair Boom technically from a crew role standpoint Zoro don't really bring anything but the ability to fight so if hypothetically Carrot did join it wouldn't be a issue. Also combat wise Carrot brings something that the crew technically lacks. A speedster. She's arguably faster then any of the straw hats and speed can be a big benefit. But at the end of the day what ever happens happens. As for why folks seemingly don't like her I couldn't say. Generally speaking I haven't seen much hate for her so I'm just gonna assume it's a vocal subsection of the fanbase that just negative towards her for whatever personal reasons they have.

@@Niallisababe1 as a crew member what does do? His title on the ship is Swordsmen. He doesn't cook, stear, navigate and so on. He just sits around. I'm not saying anything bad about him I'm just saying that he doesn't have a role on the ship when there not fighting. This was in direct response to Boom saying that all Carrot could really bring to the crew was her fighting ability so I pointed Zoro out. I'm not trying to argue I'm just further explain my statement.

Carrot has the most beautyfull Sulong form among the Minks. She is cute and cool in the same time. Luffy vs Katakuri getting just better and better. One of the best fights in One piece.

The only people I wish joined straw hats crew is Foxy, Bartolomeo & maybe Mr 3...I think their abilities are very useful for strawhats crew. And as crazy as it sounds I hope that if Blueno ever dies in one piece that one of the strawhats eats his devil fruit because his door/door fruit is so useful to enter any location they need or to escape places

Aw yeah, Sulong Carrot action! 9:41, I think it's the fanbases fault, or so I'm told. The discussions involving her were constant and I think people got overwhelmed and annoyed (of course these same people do it later with another character but still). I can't personally think of what she as a character, especially at this point, actually did wrong in some people's eyes.

Big Mom is scary AF. I mean I personally see her as more challenging to deal with than Kaido. to put in videogame terms... Kaido has high def and mdef yes but he's all about that atk stat with a high matk stat. Big mom is more like that boss where you beat all of its parts at once or yo do not beat them at all "Attrition warfare". Her stats are lower than Kaidos but Kaido only has stats on her. Big Mom midmaxs in otherwords. Imagine her turning the Sunny into a homie or one of Zorro's swords. How would you fight that?

I really like Carrot, I just don't like her as a StrawHat. With every member of the Straw Hats, I have never had any problems with them joining. From the first one, Zoro, to the current last one, Jimbee. But with Carrot, while l like her, I don't want her to be a main cast. I don't know why, I just know I prefer if she does not join.

Tbh I always felt Carrot was embarrassing as fuck. Shes an underage bunny-girl that Oda and Toei spend way to much attention on the curves of. Its legit uncomfortable and idk how any sensible person could want her on the crew. She doesn't offer anything unique from any other side character.

She is from a race they don't have in their crew with a unique set of skills, she has a dream of seeing the world, and honestly clicks with a lot of the crew like Chopper and Luffy. Also, she's not that sexualized compared to like Nami and, coming from a guy's perspective, she's more cute than hot. Like little sister cute, the one you'd want to protect from bullies at school.
