2019 was my first visit to Boomtown. I spent a lot of time on my own and really was taken into the hearts of many festival-goers. It was fantastic and a great feeling of connection with everyone. I handed in a bag someone had left in the gaarden. Supported a few lost strays back to their camping area & showed a couple how to use their cooker! I took all my stuff home and collected some!! Had a great time. Thanks to the folks who bought me a lemonade one night and all who shared moments of bliss with me 🙏🦄🍄💖🎶

@@Seonaidmack theres honestly something for absolutely everyone there, you could go line dancing or watch a gypsy puppet show or have your fortune told in some dystopian future church, as long as you avoid all the huge stages theres honestly so much else to do. theres even a kids area on top of a hill that overlooks the entire site with an outdoor cinema, i couldnt recommend it more

Seonaidmack I saw people of all ages having a fantastic time, I think it's all about what you are looking for, and there is so much to do, see and hear at Boomtown you wouldn't be disappointed. It's good to know what sort of atmosphere+energy to expect in the different stages, for example with drum&bass, and techno/psych, there were so many people, lots of them intoxicated, but the Lions den (dub, reggae, etc), whistlers green and old town/copper county areas would be a bit more relaxed if you prefer to have a bit more space to breath whilst listening to the beautiful music.

Loved 2022 but wished it was on the same scale/size as 2019. Felt like everything had been squeezed into smaller districts and it lost the feel of a large magical city a bit. Still great, but I missed the sheer vast magic of trekking to amazing worlds detached from each other

They bring in a wide variety of food stands, normally for festivals a large portion of the money they receive is from food stalls paying to use their grounds so restricting them to vegan only probably wouldn't give them enough money to ensure other projects work. Im vegetarian but the world isn't ready for the full change over yet. Boomtown has absolutely loads of vegan and vege food stalls, plus they made sure none of them bought in any plastic this year. I'm sure one day we'll be able to move away from meat completely

Most UK festivals are just cringe. This is ok'ish, there are all kinds of music crammed in but it lacks any actual direction. It's trying to be Dutch or German but it's not quite there.
